Hiya,

that`s not exactly true. It were the SamYangs of wich the sliding breech covers bust open because the breech cover couldn`t stand the pressure. Shinsungs never had that problem.

Best.

Hi again,

there a quit a few airguns i had moe than once. The BSA Lightning is one of them. The fist one i bought long ago and sold it pretty soon. I needed money to buy another gun. The one i`m having now is a .177 with an aftermarket gasram. It`s a gun that needs a firm hand, has an awfull trigger.

When i bought it it came with a synthetic stock. I bought the wooden stock later, a guy from the Dutch airgunboard made the adjustable cheeck piece.

Another BSA is the Super Ten MK1. The S10 is BSA`s first PCP and it is a great gun. It`s a .22, the gun is regulated and there`s a Dr Bob quick fill. S10 shooters are the most foul mouthed gunmen in the wold. Everytime the gun needed a refill an o ring bursted  and the owners started swearing in agony….
I`ve been looking for a S10 for years and suddenly a guy at the gun range came up with this one. I bought it, did 10 shots and the gun broke down. The hammer block was broken, a part wich is out of stock where ever you look. I had some guy make it for me, the gun shoots great. I love this gun.

The BSA Techstar is in my posession since 2007. It`s a funny gun, tho` the Techstar has never officially been on the Dutch market it was a very popular gun. Targetmaster imported a few Techstars from the US and this is one of them. When i bought it the gun looked like this.

After a few years i got curious of how the gun would look without its realtree suit. It looked great. Pretty little 40 fpe packing airgun!

Sometime later Fer offered me a Falcon stock, we made an inlet fo the immediately and the Techstar became the Techstra.

Huub showed a sidelever BSA on the Dutch forum. I immediately knew what my next project was going to be. A sidelever.

The last thing i did with the Techstra was making it a multishot. I put another breech on it and had a helluvalotta work on getting the magazine to work. I succeeded.

Now it is back to a single shot sidelever gun.

There`s one more BSA left. The BSA Airsporter. This is one from the first generation.

Best, Roel

Oh you have the AirGun addiction as bad as anyone!  ;D

Mighty interesting airguns you have. I was just looking at a BSA the other day but it was a U.K. spec model. Weak!

Hi,

that`s  for sure Steveoh, i am as addicted as f*ck. And i love it. Here`s anothe episode about the guns i have.

This one is special to me. Cees, a friend of me, famous among the dutch airgunscene becuase he made some beautifull airguns. Cees designed this one. The Blue Benchrest.

The maintube is from a Daystate X2, there`s a regulator from HuMa, the breech is milled by Ma (from HuMa),

the stainless steel bolt is made by Cees. The stock was bought from Microfit in the US, a very poorly made. The stock was bought very oversized so a 3" stock could be made of it.

……….

when the Blue Benchrest was almost finished Cees gave the gun to a friend and after that the gun went from one owner to another. I knew i wanted the gun, i had to have it, no matter what…. Some of Cees`s guns were modified by the new owners, i didn`t want that to happen to this one.

Bertus took it apart and solved some flaws in the design. And he made some great pics (wich i am allowed to use).

Hi Steveoh,

yeah man, you are right. Only Cees`s gun named the Airbear was prettier.
 https://fokkemol.weebly.com/ceess-airgun-stocks.html
The stock of the Airbear has been worked over and has lost lots of his good looks.

But this gun, the Blue Benchrest, is important to me. On its travel trough the Netherlands the gun ended up at JJ, a guy on the shooting range where i am shooting. I traded the gun fo a Logun S16s. My ultimate goal with this gun is to give it back to the guy who created it; Cees.

The mounts are 11 mm dovetail. In Cees`s opnion Weaver or Picatinny rail would be too chunky. The mounts ae modified BKL mounts.

The bolt is hand made out of a chunk of stainless steel.

………….

So this gun is finally mine since 2017. The gun dates from 2011. The calibre is .25. It doesn`t care if it is shooting  26 or 33 grain pellets, the grouping is some 1" at 100 meters. I took the regulator out because i am shooting with an Aqua Environment regulator and because a reg like that is easier to adjust it has my preference. I am not a benchrest shooter in anyway and that makes the gun a little had to handle but the gun shoots great.

Some last details....

Cees wanted a clamp, he said it made the barrel a bit less volnarable.

My word!

I like airguns too. My like for them, isn't one of beauty, but of function. Yes, function can be beautiful, but if it doesn't shoot, looking beautiful isn't worth very much!

Hi,

here`s the 'Koejak!' Or the 111 Euro-gun. I got a battered old BAM XB50 from Ric from Belgium. Earlier i bought Hatsan .25 barrel. 50 Euros.

I had a lot of BAM XB50 en XB51`s. I like `m. When this one arrived i had to make a new valve on the lathe fo this gun. A year earlier a traded a BAM for a lathe. Lucky me. The first owne of this BAM put the gun in a Daystate stock and put a peepsight on the gun. That was 2005.

When i got it it looked like this. All black and the peepsight was gone.

I immediately knew what i wanted to do with the BAM. Make it a nice plink gun for a max of 50 to 60 meters. I liked the ragged look of this BAM. The gun looked like it had spend touring  with Keith Richards, equal in uglyness.

With some work on the lathe the gun was transformed pretty fast. Within two weeks or so it was ready to shoot. I didn`t have the energy to make everything looking as new again, i left it as it was.
This is the way The Koejak! looks like now.

The Koejak! is a basic air rifle, the barrel was €50, the scope was €60 and the Dead Moon sticker €1. When i shot it on the range i took it to the 100 meter lane. I did great. Look at this.

some details of The Koejak!

When i took my grandson for a ride one day he kept saying 'Koejak!' I didn`t know what he ment. When i asked my daughter she said she didn`t know either. A few weeks later she drove me someplace and my grandson was in the ca too. When i head my daughter call other people on the road names; (klootzak -asshole-) i heard my grandson saying 'Koejak!', it was clear he wanted to call klootzakken names too and i immediately knew what Koejak ment.

Klootzak or Asshole!..

Haha,

i took it as a compliment fo sure. I`ve fooling around with guns since i`m 12 or so. Did some firearms too but because of the laws and regulations over here the love for firearms never grew as large as the love for airguns. In the darkest periodes i kept shooting airguns, they helped me escape reality. Shooting without a worry in the world. Or at least for the time being. Now there are less worries, i`m shooting nearly every week again, but for max 2 hours.

In 2015 there was this girl at the range, she came with her boyfriend. A nice gall, absoluteley new the shooting. She told me she had the gun that once was her grandpa`s. She`d loved to see that gun shooting again. I told her to take the gun with her the next she`d be around. I was convinced she would come up with a Weihauch HW35, almost every gramps had a HW35.

She came up with something else. A Krico, .22 from the fifties. Curious as i was i offered to bing the gun back to life.

I took the gun apart when i got home. It surprised me how well made this little airgun was. It was a dry as a bone, cobwebs in the barrel and the gun smelled like the area below the bellybutton of a nun.
The triggerunit is made beautifull and it works great.

The leather seal looked like it had been eaten, digested and crapped out again. A Diana model 50 seal fits like a glove and the spring of a Dina model 35 fits when you amputate 4 coils.

It made one thing sure. I wanted to have a Krico of my own. I found  one, some guy doing recycling mailed me and asked me if i knew if it was a legal gun and how much it was worth. I gave him a fair price and i bought the gun. Mine is a .177.

If you ever get the chance......buy that gun!
