New Member in the Bay Area
« on: April 07, 2018, 01:22:00 PM »
I got the bug about 3 years ago when the public range shut down at United Sportsman in Concord. I had a couple of break barrels that I shot in my backyard. I went to an open house at the Diablo Rod & Gun club (I was already a member) put on by airgunners and started going to their Wednesday a.m. shoots. Great group of shooters.  Well I was hooked. I presently own 6 PCP's and sold 3 others. As you all know we're always looking. I've been on the other forums and just followed a link to this one while doing some research on the ATN X-sight. Good info from Alan. I'll try to add a few pictures:

Well sir, you'll fit right in here. Air gunning it seems, is rather addictive, as I'm sure our (note plural case) pocketbooks will attest to.

The X-Sight II isn't all that bad, if you use the external battery pack, and don't use the ballistics program. And just remember what I said about the range settings. Overall, for what it costs, the X-Sight II is pretty good, especially the video when displayed on a big screen TV.

By the way, the X-Sight II I owned, I sent out to Steveoh. I'm using an Armalite which cost several times what the X-Sight II did. It doesn't have all of the fancy-fancy features either, but at night (it is a lousy daytime scope), it is nothing short of eerie. Even in the dark of the moon, it is almost like daylight looking through it.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

There is a quite large contingent of FIELD TARGET shooters in the bay area & out to sacramento.
We all get together 2 times a month happening at the Diablo facility generally mid month, or alternating months between Ione & Davis ranges at months end.

Whereabouts in the bay area are you?  I am north of the bay area close to Ukiah, I have a good airgun friend down in San Ramon.  Hope to see more local airgunners  on here soon, Neil.

Welcome to The Guild. Nice collection.
I'm up in the North Bay, there's a few of us up here.
I was shooting FT in Concord for a while and also over Sac way. Just couldn't stand the traffic getting home in the afternoon.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like. Grinding out a living on the farm.

Welcome aboard!

Sure wish the United Sportsmen range would open back up. That whole thing turned into quite the fiasco.

I’m over here in Benicia.
