I agree with Kevin. I do use a bipod, but mostly to support my Impact when on the ground, hood of my car, and when hung in the gun safe.
One thing I have never liked about regular old bipods (read that as cheap!), is the fact the legs aren't stable—they all seem to wobble! The solution is to have one in which the legs are at a 45° angle. Then the weight of the airgun helps steady the legs. Unfortunately, most of the bipods which offer this feature, are really expensive! The Accuracy-Tech are close to $500! I've found a cheaper alternative (≈$50), but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're almost a machinist.
