Hello from Virginia
« on: April 07, 2020, 04:18:04 PM »
Hello everyone,
I’m 60 and retired a couple of years ago. Been shooting all types of guns since I was a boy. I was trying to fix and old break barrel when I discovered PCPs last year; how I missed their development I do not know.
Went to buy a starter gun but left the store with an FX Impact X and a tank. Little did I know that that financial out lay would lead to. Now also have a compressor, several more rifles, and built a 50 and 75 yard range in my yard (while my wife was out town).
My main interest has always been accuracy and today’s Airguns have stirred my soul.
Thanks for having me as a member.
Andy

Welcome Andy. Your route into pcp's sounds pretty familiar. I got a $100 break barrel at the big box store and was amazed with it's power and accuracy. I wanted to find a little more about it so I did some searches and found the whole pcp thing. My first pcp airgun was an Texan .308 and then came the compressors, bullet molds, accessories, more guns...I thought fishing was expensive.

Congrats on the FX Impact. It's really high on my wish list.

Welcome aboard.

I suspect we all have similar tales. Whether they're "woe ones" is a matter of personal choice; yours vs. your spouse! I can't even guess what you've laid out, but in my case you could buy s decent vehicle for less monies!

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

Welcome aboard Andy!

So far my wife has insisted I remove 3 of 4 shooting targets. I'm down to one rat station. So, consider yourself lucky!
