4500 psi air compressor?
« on: January 27, 2017, 08:15:28 PM »
Hey guys looking for some advice on a good 4500psi air compressor to buy.  Tired of getting my tank filled and just want to be able to do it at home. Not looking to spend a bunch of money on one but also want it to last because I'm going to use it. Anyways let me know what you like to use.

I have an Omega Air Charger, and I like it. Both the Alpha and Omega are made in China, so a good dealer behind your purchase is mandatory.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

My only experience is with the Air Venturi. Have about 16 hours on it with zero issues. That being said, I rarely fill past 4000. I fill at less pressure more often. Seems like most compressor issues happen when pushing the envelope and I like to easier on the equipment.

I have the infamous Yong Heng $220 compressor. It's worked for a year then had catastrophic failure. I got parts to rebuild and it's back up and running. But it will fail again. Tis the nature of the beast. I run mine hard and fill big SCBA tanks up to 4500 psi. Still cheaper and way more convenient than going to the fire extinguisher place. It's flipping painful to deal with Chinese companies. I spent $80 on parts and ended up with broken stuff that won't work, all due to very horrible packaging.

IU could not be more pleased with my Omega Air Charger. About 80 hours of care-free service.
