With the coming of Summer, hunting possibilities change, typically for the better. Prairie dogs, ground squirrels, and gophers are all fair game. And so are pigeons, Eurasian doves, and house sparrows. Oh goody!

This speaks volumes!

When I first heard about the FX Maverick, my first thought was, that FX would apply the same triple regulator setup to the Impact, and I was correct—they did! If anyone has watched Ernest Rowe talk about this addition, you'd know why it is so monumental. I suspect that other manufacturers will soon follow suit. One of the reasons I have personal experience with.

One of the drawbacks to the W.A.R. Cobra I once owned, was the 4,500 PSI (310 BAR) fill pressure. The regulator was adjustable, and in my case, set to 1,600 PSI (125 BAR). After several iterations of seat and/or seal material, it was obvious that filling just to 3,600 PSI (250 BAR), alleviated most of the issues with velocity variation.

The FX Maverick has shown that triple regulation, properly pressure set, has great advantages in normalizing shot-to-shot variations in velocities. Read that as accuracy!

As soon as I have time to re-sight the scope at 82 yards, I'll give the members a full report on same. So stay tuned!

I have a Hill EC-3000 compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your tank as a courtesy (4,250 PSI limit).

It's almost Christmas! Can't wait to read / hear your review.  ;D
