SIG Sauer MCX Rifle on Ninja 13ci 3000psi HPA air tank
« on: January 06, 2017, 03:54:06 PM »
I picked up the Sig Sauer MCX just to play with. I’m going to use a 13ci 3000psi bottle with the output regulated at 1100psi. I’m not familiar with the 88g Co2 but was wondering what output the psi is with the Co2 versus the 13ci 1100psi output on the HPA bottle? Will I gain FPS? Has anyone played with the Sig and tried to get the FPS up on them? Would be nice to shoot some heavy pellets in the 700fps range.

Long answer, Short answer.   Short answer at Room Temperature you should get approximately 850 PSI from a 12 gram C02 cartridge.  Temperature effects C02 output as you are changing state from a liquid to a gas, and that requires outside heat.

This is from memory I'm sure a Google search will aid you some more.

CO2 puts out the same PSI no matter what it is contained in.  Good friend of mine also got a MCX for Christmas and wants to convert his to HPA.

They need valve work and barrel work as they are pretty pathetic shooters even on HPA reg at 1100 psi. You wont even break 600fps
