When I built my mrod, I polished the crap our of the hammer pin track and inside of the airtube. I think metal to metal and crytox reduces the friction significantly. I don't personally like the nylon because it can deform with use and then cause more friction. The next mod, which was a suggestion from Travis (War), was to drill a few small holes through the face of the hammer to the back. This by far was the best thing I did. It helped with hammer bounce and it actually generated more power. The reason is that the hammer does not act as a piston.

This was on my mrod 25 110fpe build
