Title: Artemis PP700SA - Full Verdium Air Tune🥰
Post by: kkarmical on May 31, 2021, 12:05:03 PM
So month or so ago Wes at Airgun Archery Fun posted that the PP700 was being discontinued, and that he has one more shipment inbound.

So I ordered one, then contacted Brian at Verdium Air, because he is the Artemis whisperer, and I had the gun sent to him for a complete tune, which includes his fitting it with a Huma, and modify the original regulator to perform as additional plenum, turning it into a pistol able to handle heavier pellets and slugs.

Initial thoughts, I love this gun already, and with it powered up to 27fpe or so, its freaking awesome 😎.

Picked up a new case, tossed this 2-8 scope on it for now, but looking for another or I will settle on adding the 3-12 bugbuster, but I really want is a
MTC Viper Connect SL 3-12×24, kicking myself for not picking one up when DVOR had them on sale, it would go perfectly on this gun.

I'll get chronograph numbers on it shortly, just going to shoot it and let the regulator settle a bit.

Going heavy here, so far the redesign 25.39's are just what I thought they'd be, extremely accurate.  But the ultrashock are shooting very well too.

This little pistol thumps..

Please, do tell us more!!

Power?
Precision?

How much did the Veradium tune cost — with or without regulator?

I agree, it's an awesome gun!

I got one of those a couple years ago and ordered it with the folding stock and the adapter and moderator. It's kind of loud even with the moderator. Using a little barska three by nine scope and the folding stock it's great as a little backpack gun for camping. Picking a few doves out of the tree is child's Play. As soon as I went to air it up it started leaking and I said I'm not going to send this back so I took the air cylinder off and replaced an o-ring and it's been working fine ever since. It's the first thing I ever had that had some kind of a regulator on it. I have it turned down low and the hammer spring turned up a little bit so I can get lots of shots but not a lot of power. I did Crank it up on the regulator and wish I had some idea of what that setting was because I used a 33 grain beast and it went halfway through the pine tree! It is amazingly accurate for such a short barrel. After a fair amount of use it seems as though the breach block leaks where it meets with a green or blue o-ring. Probably going to tear it apart one of these days when I have nothing to do and try to tighten up the nut that the breach block swings on. I think the screw on the breach block is a port obstruction. A lot of these were set up for the United Kingdom and at that point they really are very low FPE. Those particular settings were very unexciting. It's a nice happy medium now but if I need some power then I just grab the Seneca Eagle claw.
