I'm very hesitant to broach this topic, but I want to express my pride in the Guilders for rising above the recent political events and not venting about it here in this forum. To say this has been a trying year has been an understatement and patience, morals, ethics, opinions, and such have been stretched to the breaking point.
We are a community of shooters who enjoy each other's company in both person and in written form here. That sense of community overrides the feelings of animosity, divisiveness, and bipartisan venom that has permeated our beautiful country. Sometimes it seems that common interests are the things that can reach across the great divide to heal wounds, encourage dialogue, and a starting place to be open to listening as well as speaking.
You should all be commended for your decorum and restraint. We have opinions and are all over the map (literally and figuratively) on where we stand regarding all things political. However, as a community of brothers and sisters in the airgun world we are able to put those issues aside and be civil and respectful to one another.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the members of AG for staying above the fray (can't say that about some other forums) and not stooping to rhetoric that only divides us further.
