Had a minute to watch the first vid. Great shooting. Can ya tell us more about the gun ? If my crappy hearing is right its taking what ? about 1+ for the bullet to reach down range
The rough calculations for time of flight is around 3.4 seconds...And as Bob writes the sound traveling faster at start and isn't slowing down like the bullet, so you hear that lag....Further out I go that difference you hear between rifle firing and bullet arriving gets greater........
Rifle stock parts ONLY are the Airforce Frame, and trigger and the breech.....ALL ELSE IS CUSTOM ordered, machined, or built ...........Use a Doug Noble Valve for the Power. Also his 120 gram hammer and a 9.4# spring. Barrel is 34" Match Grade powder barrel, Manufacturers I use for my F-Class 1000 yd rifles. Have 2 different manufactured barrels I have shot and a 3rd being finished to test soon now. Any world class barrel manufacturer will work that makes BENCHREST ACCURACY BBLS. Not AIRGUN BBLS. Choose your preference for a manfactacturer. Then it has to be machined to fit the AirForce frame. All machining and stock and bedding done by my gunsmith who builds my F-Class rifles......Barrel is ordered at 1.100", straight cylinder. Stock is Madddog Benchrest Model. Airtank is Chinese at 4350 psi. Shoot tethered off bench always from my 4500 psi carbon wrapped tank......The front rest is a "Joy Stick" Seb Neo and the wait is about a YEAR to even get one, which are used for F-Class 1000 yd competition. Rear bag is and EDGEWOOD, custom sewn for 1.250" width between rabbit ears to support rear of rifle without movement upon recoil. Both rests I already had for F-Class competition Powder rifles and work for stock on rifle well.
My portable table is heavy Caldwell pre fab. Spent the price of it again for BEEF and weight added, plus extra bolts to tighten the PIPE riser and table top for stability. Weighs about 70 lbs.. I use it for different distances as target area is a raked, weedless area I prepped to see I get correct elevation by DUST, at wanted distance. I place table then for that lasered distance. I usually have total access mid week EARLY for the High Power Range and the only one there.
At 100 yds to probably 300 yds, rifle shoots better than most persons AVERAGE hunting rifles, at the local range do.... ?
