Home with the wife and daughter. I won't make it much past 9 or 10.
Used to fire the shotgun for effect at midnite, but like I said, I'll probably be in bed. Old age I guess :D
Have a happy one everyone! ;)

Staying at home with the wife and son, and watching the ball drop, have a few drinks, but it’ll be limited this time since I’ve been attacked with the norovirus and been quarantined  :-[

I will be on the range today and maybe tomorrow. Have new reactive steel targets (homemade) with the flapping bulls eyes and some new spinners. I also would like to sight in my brand new Remington .308 powder burner (Merry Christmas to myself!)  I've spent three weeks getting the goodies to go on it without firing a shot. I camo'd the scope, added a sling, bought a clamp on muzzle brake from Witt Machine to lower the recoil, and hand loaded 100 rounds to test.

Tonight (after a nice long nap...I'm SO not a night owl) I'm taking my lovely girlfriend to sushi and then to a live comedy competition. I don't drink so I should be ok there. Unfortunately for me I'm allergic to alcohol; I break out in handcuffs whenever I drink!

Our neighbour of the last 16 years hosts an evening of traditional Japanese country cooking and various friends performing classical music on strings and winds, just mini-concerts sprinkled through the evening. We'll bring over some prosecco and maybe our gingerbread kitchen for  dessert. The kids decided to replicate our kitchen in gingerbread and candies with icing for glue, complete with portraits of each of us as gingerbread people. Mine's playing an accordion for some reason... I've never played that. But I guess a 'cello would have been too challenging to carve in cookie dough. My beard somehow came out as something more akin to Zoidberg's (Futurama dude) face tentacles too. My kids are weird.

We ate dinner. Backstrap, mashed taters, lima beans, and gravy. Now we are going to watch a movie.
