Airgun Depot Hunting Guide

I like the map, wish it had all the critters you can hunt. But at a glance really shows how different the hunting regs are statewide.

I would not trust it.  First off, they are wrong about hunting turkey in Michigan. Only shotgun and archery are allowed. Also, they don't seem to realize that the Upper Peninsula is part of Michigan.

I don't know the MI rules for yotes and hogs, but I doubt there are any restrictions on weapons at all.  We consider them nuisance animals.  You usually do not even need a license to take them.

It's wrong for Washington too.  It says airguns are ok for small game.  They're not.  Airguns can onl be used for small, 'unclassified' animals.  Small Game can only be hunted with firearms, bow-and-arrow, slingshot or falconry.  Airguns are prohibited.  I've petitioned the WDFW to add 'airguns' to the list of permitted harvest methods.

OUCH!

Operation Impossible putting together a useful State Regs Hunting Guide.

Oh the pain.

Kinda makes me think that the All the State Fish and Game folks might outta figure out a collaboration where they keep a shared database up to date. Of course if any other state has as complex laws as California does, then that would indeed be an impossible task.

Still... I like the way the information is visually presented.

Then there is the HUNTING FPE RECOMMENDATIONS that they have. I know for sure that Manny and Shadow (Ed) would have a problem with this guide.

Well, the map is ALL wrong about New Mexico. And has been since last September. Apparently, they do not keep the map up to date.

Wrong about Florida. Florida allows hogs and coyotes.

Wrong about coyotes in Washington also. They can be hunted with anything and are considered an unclassified animal which Washington allows airgun use.

Unfortunately, info isn't always correct when it comes to these types of maps.  If you all want, PM me what's correct for your state and I will call Cameron at AGD.
