Not bipods, but shooting sticks. I know they make them in mono, bi, and tripod styles, but I wonder if anyone uses them, and their experiences therein?

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

Personally I use a Harris bipod with my high powered rifle setup when I go predator calling. But a good friend of mine that I go hunting with quite a bit using a stick. Yes, a small poplar tree about an inch in diameter that has three or four small limbs that fork off the main trunk at varying heights. Then he'll trim those down to a couple of inches long. It does dry out to be very light, plus the price can't be beat at free.99. :) BTW, he's an excellent shot and makes very effective use of that while predator hunting. One of the most successful people in my area as far and predator hunting goes.

I also have the Gen1 Bi-Pod stick and take them with me Field shooting.  I have gotten to the point where I can rest the rifle,on the sticks and in my shoulder hands off and take a scouting view with my head up.  Got 5 Ground Squirrels Wednesday at a permission.

I use to use a set of sticks (check out Varmint Al's Bi-Fur-Pod shooting sticks). Then I got fancy pants shooting HFT and bought a set of Primos Gen 2 bi-pod. DON'T waste your money on those POS head moves and you are at an angle crap things. Gen 1's are good, though they are hard to find, maybe Scott will sell his. ;D
I'll probably go back to my wood sticks this year. They were great shooting the Contender off of.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like. Grinding out a living on the farm.
