News:

It is the start of Summer vacations, and for many, planting season too. But that doesn't mean you can't shoot your airgun! And you'd best, unless you want to lose your touch for the Fall hunting seasons, which will be upon us before we know it!

OK guys this was a bucket list shot for me I have thought about this shot for many years I finally was able to put it on film

The amazing part of this (to me) is—besides the excellent off-hand shooting—the FX Crown is not the only airgun capable of the requisite accuracy. This is (to me) one of the biggest attributes airguns possess. If you follow Rick and his antics (!), you'd know he uses a variety of airguns to achieve his results. These facts are prima facie!

I have a Hill EC-3000 compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your tank as a courtesy (4,250 PSI limit).

As always,  Great shot Rick.   We used to play at 10 yards in my neighbors driveway, and shoot into his garage and try to light matches with his Sheridan.  Those were the days. 1970.  His dad was a contractor so we had lots of wood for backstop!

Thank you , I always wanted to light a match at 100 yds it was a bucket list shot for me . I miss the 70's

I apologize because this is off the subject. But...

I used to be fairly good at off hand shooting, but age and a love of good coffee have taken their toll. But I have also found, that practice still makes perfect. I even managed to make a "Rick" shot two days ago. Too bad no one was around to see it!

The aiming point was a pigeon, about 100 yards away. When I fired he flinched, but stayed put. So out came my laser rangefinder to double check (104 yards actually), and just as I pushed to range button, he fell off the wire!

That shot was my best off-hand in recent years, and I'll blame Rick for making me try!
