Last week flew to Farmington, NM bought a somewhat used Moto Guzzi Stelvio and zoomed back home to the SFBay. If I had more vacation I'd have dropped in on Alan. ;)

I've been busy prepping for the trip, riding like a maniac home, then working on the bike to get it to a point with clean engine, transmission and rear end oil (carc).

Airguns? I'll be back to shooting soon.

Oh well! Fun anyway. Once owned a 500 single Guzzi, which was (once) one of the few bikes with a 6 speed SGB.

Farmington, is a half a day's drive from here, so you planned well. Maybe next time.

I have a Hill EC-3000 compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your tank as a courtesy (4,250 PSI limit).

The Italians always have perky jugs compared to the Germans.  ;D

That is pretty cool!

The backside of me and my gal.

I always say you know you are getting old when you see a bike with hard bags and say "That is kind of cool"

Cool! Didn't know you rode, Loren!

The Stelvio has bags too. Makes it mighty wide and it will be rare to use them for commuting as I like to be able to split lanes when traffic backs up.

I have to admit, I've never split lanes when I road. The reasons should be obvious, and if not, once you see some poor slob mangled, you won't either.

I saw the pannier frame on the side so knew it had hard bags.  Like I said, A sign you know you are getting old...lol

I have been riding on the street since I was 15.  Somehow my Dad and I got it past my mom to let me buy a street bike before a car.  I had been riding dirt bikes for years before that.  We cannot split lanes around here.  I could see doing it stop and go traffic where the interstate has become a parking lot, but not at speed.

I love a long road trip!  Mine is definitely a wide body, and flies!

Alan

I don't split lanes either.

Traffic comes to a dead stop on a super hot day, you'll rethink splitting lanes, legal or not.
