I switch to decaff 2 days ago I'm having a rough day to say the least. Let's see if this goes to the correct area.

I know your pain nicotine was my caffeine and I quit dipping about 4 months ago. Not sure how similar quitting caffeine is to nicotine as Ive never been big on caffeine and very rarely have it but I'm sure it's just as rough. Stick with it it's worth it. In the mean time welcome to this new addiction.

I can't comment on quitting anything else but I can assure you I'm in full-blown caffeine withdrawal
It's a living hell I need some freakin coffee bad.

I'm going out back and shoot a little and try to relax.

they make decaf coffee.. i cant seem to quit dipping though...

Yeah I can tell you what withdrawals are no joke the first week was absolute hell and I was not a nice person to be around. And once I got past the withdrawals then it slowly got better but what was hard for me was having something in my lip and I still find myself putting mints and gum in there at times but can say it's a freedom not being controlled by something like that anymore. It is rough but don't give up. I can say picking up a hobby or something definitely helped me and that's when I really got into airguns to keep my mind off it and looks like your already doing the same. Good luck with it.

LOL dairy, ive been into airguns for a quite a pile of years.. dipping around 2 cans a day for 13 years, have quit twice, once for around 8 months, once around 6 months. i can deal with the short term, its the long term habit of something in my lip that tends to destroy my progress. I truly enjoy having a large wad of dip in my mouth, and spitting the foul brown juice and saliva into a cup/bottle/ground.. especially when fishing that's what really kills me.

Sorry Josh I didn't see your post I'm not saying that's what'll help for everyone its just what helped me. I agree having something in my lip is the only thing I'm struggling with to this day I had fake dip but wasnt cutting it for me cause I loved Copenhagen long cut original and none of the fake stuff can ever get that flavor.

Welcome Ka. As one who gave up coffee and soda I feel your pain. It will get easier. Now smokes ? Hell NO !, I ain't giving those up..

Good morning Guild,
Not getting easier it's getting harder. 

My heart's pounding I'm sweating profusely I haven't slept in 3 nights my wife and kids won't come anywhere near me for fear I'm going to bite their head if they even speak to me.

I think I should have explained further I was no ordinary coffee Junkie. I had a three pot a day habit and most days a couple of monsters thrown in for good measure.
The doctor said my heart was literally ready to explode.

Decaf sucks big time I'm not even drinking any this morning it's useless.

im sorry pal, decaf is  better than no coffee though... the werthers coffee flavored candies could help too.
