Walnut stock
« on: April 26, 2021, 07:14:09 PM »
I have a .25 RAW HM1000X with a walnut stock and I can't remove the stock it's stuck. Is it better to get the stock cold or heat it up in the bathroom with steam from the shower?

Steam will swell the wood.

Dry heat and time would be my method, trying to slowly pull moisture from the wood fibers.

Not wanting to offend, but is it possible you haven't found one of the stock retaining screws?.... Perhaps one of the trigger guard screws threads into the action?.... I would contact the manufacturer before trying anything more drastic....
