    • Airgun FPE Calculator
airguncalculator.com testing
« on: August 26, 2019, 09:39:31 AM »
I bought a new domain, and added a simple FPE calculator to it. I'm still working out the kinks but it mostly functions. Content is in progress. I plan on building out additional airgun calculators so I can improve my javascript skills.

I would appreciate some beta testing to find bugs I've missed, and to get feedback.

Without further adieu: https://airguncalculator.com

Known Issues:
1. html5 validation is spotty on Safari
2. https / ssl is not always redirecting properly

I use American Airguns calculators

Did you try this one? If so how does it compare to the FPE one at American Airguns? Are the numbers the same when input the same fps, and weight?

Thanks

Bob Sterne has a myriad of calculators, some of which are his alone. If he's willing, this new site could be his outlet to share those important calculations.

I'm certainly willing to host any calculator Bob comes up with.  It's all for the good of the community and gives me a chance to work on my javascript.  I am planning on taking at least this page a step further and converting it to use React.js which is the JavaScript flavor of the month.

Used it and works just fine.

Another calc that is helpful is the inverse.  Given FPE and bullet weight, what would the FPS equal.   AOA has that one and I use it open when considering new bullet molds and how they will potentially perform in muzzle velocity for the bullet weght.

Add this one:

Bullet RPM = MV X 720/Twist Rate (in inches)
