hatsan numbers , normal?
« on: October 08, 2020, 11:37:29 AM »
after fixing leak in fill hose ive adjusted hammer spring in a hatsan bt65 35 cal, at 5 turns it wouldnt cock , i guessed that meant the spring coils were touching each other before the hammer could get back all the way, at 3.5 turns it cocks and shot 772.5 , 788.5 , 778.7 , 772.0 , 776.3 , 766.6 , was tiny bit past 200 bar down to a little over 160 bar. does anyone know if without doing anything except adjusting factory spring tension this is around normal for this type rifle?  tyvm & best wishes all

i've done a lot of stupid things in my life , but i'm probably not quite finished :)

It sounds about right to me. I suspect you won't get very many shots, due to the small air chamber.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

i just got back from shooting it. im using jsb pellets 81.02 grains, think i got a problem with the " quiet doodad" , doing much like my chief did before i opened up and cleaned up pellet pathway.
yessir you sure are right, i havent shot a longer string of shots but i figure it be fading fast after 6 and i think 6 would be plenty for actually hunting, assuming i get the flyer [ wild wild flyer ] problem fixed. i wanna get cap off and look at washers /baffles /whatever the heck is inside  & also make sure barrel is tightly attached in the reciever. me and an old friend both think it sounds about like a 22 short , i realize thats not terribly quiet but im sure its alot better than not moderated at all would be. at 50 i got one 3 shot group around 1 3/4 ctc and another had 2 shots touching and a third shot 4 inches to the right,  tyvm  & best wishes to all
