I have proposed this challenge on a couple of other Forums, but very few have accepted it, and fewer still managed to accomplish it.... It isn't my idea, it came from a Rimfire Forum, where somebody got tired of always hearing "I can put 5 shots in a dime all day at 50 yards" and said "prove it!".... Only a very few managed it with a .22LR, and the challenge is even more difficult with an airgun.... Here is the target....
EDITED FOR CLARITY: The target is to be shot outdoors....
Print if out on 8.5 x 11 paper (I recommend 65 lb.) and shoot 25 shots at it at 50 yards (or more).... Shoot 5 shots at each target, 25 shots total,
PERIOD, no sighters (use another, separate target card if you need those).... POI doesn't matter, and in fact I would sight in my gun so that the group is just below each target so it doesn't ruin the POA.... The challenge is to be able to cover each 5-shot group completely with a dime.... and to do that 5 times on one piece of paper, with no other holes in the paper, and nothing sitting on the paper to possibly cover anything up.... You can draw a circle with a pen or pencil around your dime to prove that it covers the group, and then photograph or scan the target and post your results....
This is a very simple challenge in concept.... but not easy to do.... The group size, C-T-C when you are using a .22 cal is 1 MOA or less.... While a .177 group that fits under a dime would be just over 1 MOA, and a .25 cal just under, that should make up for the lighter calibers being slightly more affected by the wind, so I think it is fair for everyone.... doesn't matter anyway, it's my rules.... *LOL*.... Participation is completely on the Honour System, so please make sure you are shooting at 50 yards or more if you accept this challenge.... There is a link to a .pdf file below you can download and print from should you choose.... If you print full size from that file, the diagonal measurement of the black squares is the same size as a dime.... GOOD LUCK !!!!

PS, here is a list of those who have successfully completed this challenge.... I will list the rifle, caliber, and position/bags/rest/vice if I have that information.... CONGRATULATIONS TO THEM !!!
