Title: Accurate gauge
Post by: Alan on April 17, 2017, 12:42:42 PM
Does anyone make an accurate, small pressure gauge? I have 5 gauges from 4 different suppliers, and all of them are off by at least ±200 psi. One goes up to 2,500 pounds and stays there even with 4,500 psi applied to it.

I do realize these gauges are cheap to buy (usually), but even then you'd think you could find a fairly accurate one.

If you haven't tried McMaster's gauges the I don't know what to say as I have 3 of them and work great.

Thanks for the tip.

Update 4/18/17; 6:40 MDT:

Turns out the one gauge which doesn't register over 2,500 psi is indeed a McMasters! But since I bought the gauge as an OEM item, I'll contact those folks first.
