2020 Pacific Airgun Expo
« on: December 18, 2019, 06:27:58 PM »
Just got an email from Michael McKeown announcing that the 2020 Pacific Airgun Expo Registration is Open.  Anyone planning on going? The last show had a bit of a critique from some of us here at the Air Gun Guild. Perhaps Michael can chime in with any changes he's making. I do notice that we are looking at having the show two years in a row as opposed to having it every two years. That seems like a step forward.

Here's the email content:

Pacific Airgun Expo 2020 Registration is open.
The dates are March 28 and 29 at the El Dorado Country Fairgrounds in Placerville.  Prices remain unchanged from last year.  I worked on the shopping cart for the web site and streamlined some things so that should be easier on you.  Let me know about any problems so I can fix it.

New flyers are up on the web site for the 2020 event.  Please print some out and hang them at your local outdoor shops and shooting ranges.

Vendors who paid for front page banner advertising for the last event got it all year, but I just turned them off so you can support the 2020 event with a fresh banner.  The web site sees about 7,000-8,000 unique visitor a month, and while certainly many of them are from robots, the search results area shows a lot of them are real people.

The main web address is: https://www.pacificairgunexpo.com

Direct to the registration page here: https://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/register-now.html

And the page with the flyers on it is: https://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/pae-flyers.html

A new empty floor plan drawing is up, and I'll update it with vendors as you get registered.  I saved last year's layout so if you like where you were I can just turn your label back on again easy peasy.  https://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/floor-plan.html

We will once again have a State of the Industry dinner after the show Saturday, and we finish at 1:00 on Sunday so you far away attendees can get home by midnight.  Keep in mind the idea of flying in; Sacramento airport is not far away.

Look on the web site for lodging suggestions.  Don't forget about the casino; it has free boondocking in the parking lot and a hotel.

That's it for now!

I will be there again with a booth and my Born Wild Shooting Chairs. Last year I had a great time networking with a lot of airgunners, both 'big names' and casual shooters. While not a profitable venture from a vendor's standpoint, it was fun and I enjoyed the camaraderie.

Yah. It was good to meet folks I know from the various forums. Was fun to look at all those airguns too. Would like to see more businesses show up and some mechanism that allows folks to show up with single airguns to sell or trade without having to rent a table.

I've checked the pricing, and the round trip flight for me is just over $400. The hotel is another $240, plus whatever I end up eating and drinking. Not too bad. If I opt to go to the Shot Show, I'd have to spend about $1,000 just for two days! Of course, this doesn't take into account the wear and tear on my old body!

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.
