News:

With the coming of Summer, hunting possibilities change, typically for the better. Prairie dogs, ground squirrels, and gophers are all fair game. And so are pigeons, Eurasian doves, and house sparrows. Oh goody!

I just purchased another 30 boxes of NSA slugs. Of course the price was up about $1 a box, due to the recent spike in bulk lead prices. At least it isn't 2007 all over again! So if you have a few hard-earned (or Christmas) dollars laying around, you might think about buying a few more rounds, just in case it gets back up to 2007 prices.

I have a Hill EC-3000 compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your tank as a courtesy (4,250 PSI limit).

Yes I just ordered some and noticed the $1 increase too.
I'm wondering if I should order more myself although I am not as avid a shooter as Alan is.

Past few years of panic buying of ammo, powder, bullets, primers and toilet paper have folks hoarding pellets, slugs and airguns!  Whackadoodle times.

I wouldn't characterize it as hoarding, rather as smart buying. As Glen noted, I do shoot a lot. Just the past 10 days, I'm well into my second box of 325. All this said...

Way back when I was really shooting a lot (firearms), I was shooting about 1,500 rounds per 2-day weekends, and sometimes double that on 3-day weekends. I didn't count the 22LR, and that was usually a carton or two as well. Back then, .25¢ per round was about as cheap as I could load a .22 Hornet, and close to three times that for my 22-250AI. The 338/378 was closer to $1 a round. This didn't include wear and tear on the barrel, etc.

But nowadays, the best part is, I spend about 6¢ per round. And I never worry about barrel wear!

You are an exception! You kind sir,  shoot a massive amount of ammo and it makes sense to buy large lots. Nick should give you an award. :)

Allow me to comment on Nick.

He is a rather unique individual, with a nitch business. He keeps his customers, by handing out the best customer service he can give. He doesn't need to, yet he often gives free advice to those who are having accuracy issues. Who else does that? Precious few I suspect.
