New Mold
« on: May 31, 2020, 09:20:23 PM »
I know I have not been on here a lot lately but I do check in often. I have been casting and reloading for my PB's. I started making my own molds. I made a .314-92gr RNFP for my .32 H&R Magnum. I'm going to size it down to .308 and give it a try in my .308 air rifle.

Wow! That’s cool to be able to make your own molds. And it looks good!

Purty blue powder coat. That blue is the best performing color I have tried so far.

Nicely done, how do they shoot?  You care to show how you make the mold?  I'd not have a problem with using those in my 30 cal rifles.   :)

Fantastic video which leads me to a couple of more questions.  Did you make up your own blanks or buy them? Also, what mill and did you CNC it or get it that way?  I just got a PM 25 and am thinking about converting it to CNC.  Looks like you would need a multi tool head on that spindle.
Thanks for the video and explanation.

Yes I made the blanks. The machine is a Hurco BMC 30. I also did a video on another Hurco showing how I programmed my next mold.

The only time I used my engineering schooling was when I worked for American Radio, where I designed product packaging. This far exceeds that skill! I am impressed!
