LEAD MIXTURES:
Pure Lead
1% Mix
2% Mix
20-1
30-1
40-1
Basically any mixture up to about 10 Brinnell Hardness (10 BHN).  This allows the slug to also MUSHROOM.  FP mushroom too.  Not just HPs.  With our low speeds, the softer the lead mixture the better if performs on game.  But accuracy is most important. So you might have to try different alloy mixtures.

WHAT MOLDS WORK IN .257:
Lyman 257420
NOE 80 gr FP
Ideals 88 gr Spitzer IF YOU CAN FIND IT on ebay
Arsenal Molds version of the Lyman 257420
