first time shooting my "new to me" flex
« on: January 01, 2017, 11:43:42 AM »

so my Christmas gift to myself i ordered a american air arm .357 slayer bull pup,for hunting...  can't wait until it gets here ,also sold the vulcan, prod, and bought a flex .30 for just fun shooting think the .30 will drop anything up to a deer but just not plinking worthy   lol  lol
i'll get a .22 and a .25 barrel next week or soon as i sell a knife or two ,i'll be needing another scope also ,i had a great night force 20moa scope mount on the vulcan but it didn't fix the flex so sold it  now no scope mounts for my swfa 16x love that scope and the aaa slayer has a 25moa built into the rail ... think i will get another swfa scope unless someone trades me my 1322 all fixed up for something worth putting on either the flex or slayer so all in all great start to a new year ..... start off all new shooting .... going to join a pellet group in san diego and try meeting some new people LOL i'm not much of a people person LOL
i'll have a few reviews of both flex, and slayer and a few videos ....
i have only shot the flex a few time being its a .30 my one acre of land is just not set up right for shooting ,horses, trailers etc... got maybe 25 yards to shoot so after it stops raining i'll go to the friends house stretch its legs
the flex has a metallic sound not a bang sound yes louder than my vulcan was but its also a .30 so i would expect that but not bad.. the test will be with the .22 or the .25 .....
its hard to get used to the larger bottle gun from the vulcan but it feels good ....
so i have two day off and no scope mounts LOL might just put the fastfire iii on the flex just to play ....
i like that i have both my guns are american made ...
i think the warp might of been a funner gun than the flex but not the power and 17" barrel  and if i want the .308 so this is going to be a good year....

new flex #xxxx26
man o man this flex is a shooter

i don't have scope ring to put my swfa on the gun so used my fastfire 3 red dot to sight in so not the best for great shooting but at 50 yards with the target being the size of a doves head the dot covers the target and this is what i got man this is going to be a shooter can't wait for the .22 and .25 barrels

Dang that's a beautiful gun there! Love the tan color personally too bad they don't do it anymore. Looks like you got a shooter. Also I think backing off the hammer spring some for a bell curve would be good

10-4 on backing off 1 turn just will have to do that this weekend ,,,, now backing off is ccw turn yes ?large hex behind the stock like in the prod....? and is there any kind of manual for these guns like a parts list take down chart ???? seal size chart... pic of it anywhere ....you know for .22 3 twist cw and for .25 4 1/2 twist cw ..... .30 6 twist etc etc.....any starting point to go with .... also when i change barrels is there a big poi change i know i'll need to re-adjust scope i would think ... theres just not much info out there on these things .... also if i wanted a reg with the .22 barrel i think i read some where u can use a paintball reg... is that right even though i would get it from wicked I'm sure and use his set at the right fps for a 18.4 gr or 14gr  .... i think the .25 i would like un reg because of derf. pellets weights i want to shoot .... and what about sound the .30 isn't bad but coming from a vulcan.25 with a ldc that was backyard ready... the .30 its louder i'm ok with that because its a field round for me ...but is the .22 going to be a lot quieter i would think so because not needing to be pushing more power so less power to push .22-.25 850-900fps  is this gun going to be ok for town -backyard stuff ... i'd hate to spend 300.00 on a .22 and not be able to shoot it .... backyard..... does anybody make like a fatboy ldc ...i have two ldc for the flex one thats the same size as the shroud.. and one a little shorter but bigger around than the shroud .. will this be enough to be quite i do want the high shot count to plink with and get dove,on the power lines
just can't find this stuff out by reading anywhere ,,, LOL love the gun  .... and am going to love it more if its not a lot of trouble to change barrels and re-adjust and be a quite .22-.25
with the slayer .357 good hunting
with the flex .30 good small hunting and not bad quite
now i want good quite .25 small hunting
and real quite .22 plinking
i'm hoping the flex will do that

Also what rail is on the bi-pod mount on the flex my atlas with picayinny don't fit
I don't think it's a weaver on my atlas it fit the standard rails I bought for the Vulcan
Anyways what size do I get to fit a #xxxx26 flex  mine is just to small to fit

.... also when i change barrels is there a big poi change i know i'll need to re-adjust scope i would think ... \

When I pull the barrel and then re-assemble there is NO POI change (.30 cal). If that is what you are asking. Changing calibers I would suspect a change of POI. Though I don't have my 2nd barrel to try it yet. BTW, when hauling my Flex in the case I remove scope and re-attach with no POI change also.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like. Building duck boats now that I'm "retired".

Lol ya took the cam off and slid the cam in to make sure it fit the dang thing just won't go over the rail just almost when I get home I'll look at it again I feel dumb dang it I talked to the shop I bought it from he said they atlas don't do weaver so it got to be the right one picatinny

What is the best or lowest scope mount size and still let the mag work  on all three size mags  I was going to get one but didn't know low med or long high I have 16x 44 swfa
I will be ordering the .22 barrel tomorrow  had to let bank stuff clear today
