Any word on when the new regulators will be avaliable?
« on: March 21, 2017, 06:35:57 AM »
Also, what's the anticipated psi range for it? Any chance it can go as high as 3200psi? Reason I ask about 3200 is because that's where my 108fpe tune peaks. I could probably get away with 3100 or 3050 though.

Travis, what little understanding I have of "peak" pressure/pellet speed is we are not really using the 3000 ~ or so PSI. We are using much less through the valve/plenum. So you may only need say, 2100 PSI or 2500 PSI through the reg to get your desired velocity.
Hopefully Bob may chime in to better explain.
Or maybe I'm way off base here and you really do want to use 3200~ PSI per shot.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like.

At what PSI are you getting your fastest shot?

Somewhere around 3100-3200. That's shooting a 63 grain slug for 880fps.

That would be awesome if I could make my 108fpe at a low pressure on the regulator.

Right now I can tune my gun pretty fast to match different loads (72fpe for Polymags, 80fpe for JSB, and 108fpe for slugs). But I'm a slave to the bell curve and starting fill pressure. I'd love to be able to always fill to 3500 or 3600 psi for maximum shot count for the lower powered tunes.

A way to simply turn the regulator "off" would also work for the high powered tunes.

Which regulators are available right now for the Flex? Any that can be adjusted externally?

Hey bullfrog I was reading this topic and seen you are shooting a 63 grain slug out of your .30 cal flex. I was wondering where you get them from or if you make them your self.  Been looking around for something in that size and if it's accurate I would like to give it a try in my flex. Thanks

I cast them myself from the NOE Bob's Boattails mold. I size them to .300. Accuracy is pellet-like, with the occational flier. I blame my own casting flaws for the fliers.

Don't know. I went hog hunting for the first time in 8 or 9 months last Saturday but didn't see anything. I've been that busy with the move. I've got feeders going on my farm now. We'll see what starts coming in.
