New to the Forum

But certainly not new to airguns. I've been shooting with, tuning and smithing on airguns for about 12 years now. Like most newbies on limited budgets, I caught the craze and had a blast learning many makes and models and upgrading them to suit my tastes. I am a passionate hunter and haven't taken any small game with a powder burner in at least 10 years....which is saying something since I harvest around 300 squirrels and 120 Rabbits a year on average!

I frequented a couple of other forums for several years and I've met a lot of fellow airgunners through the years and have made some fantastic friends in the process.

I retired from the Marine Corps after 30 years of service, 4 years ago now, and haven't had a lot of time for airguns since. I shot competitively with both Rifle and Pistol for the Marine Corps at the National Level for several years and am still amazed at the accuracy and lethality of many airguns on the market. I took a job after retirement that is pretty hectic, but I'm thinking its time to slow down a little and get back in the airgun world.

I bought a used Mill and Lathe a few months back and am re-familiarizing myself with their workings and intend to start turning out some pieces and experimenting with some things I've only theorized about with other airgunners, Smiths and machinests. I'm actually considering starting a small side job that I might just turn into a retirement job in the future...time will tell.

I look forward to interacting and learning from everyone here.

Welcome aboard! You came to the right place!

By now, I'm sure you know about Bob Sterne? He's a frequent visitor here, and offers a lot of information to neophytes and old-timers alike.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.
