I'm guilty...
« on: February 16, 2018, 06:09:49 AM »
Yup, I'm a sucker for a good airgun giveaway.  I created my account here sometime ago and for whatever reason not posted anything, so I don't have the minimum 25 legitimate posts needed to enter the contest.  I guess some other lucky guy (or gal) will win the Fortutude!

 :o

Anyhow, my 1st real airgun was (and is) a trusty d34 in .177.  I vortek pg2'd it after the spring broke at 2k shots.  It's a phenomenally accurate gun with JSBs and one that I will never part with.

Next up is a d48 in .22.  It's actually my 2nd 48 in .22 (both were purchased used).  I honestly can't recall why I sold the 1st one.  I think I just had a hard time getting used to the side lever.   My 2nd d48 recently had the piston and stem separate.  Umarex was great and replaced the piston for me.   It's back and shooting well again  :-)

In the no longer here category is a d350 and hatsan 135.  Both were in .22.

I do have one PCP - a FX Royale .22.  I bought this one new from Aceros de Hispania and got a great deal.   (currency exchange isn't as good now)  The only catch during the purchase was that it was detained in NJ by customs for several weeks...   It has been a great shooter EXCEPT for the regulator.  FX has already sent me one replacement.  It worked well for awhile.  But now after some extensive shooting in some VERY cold temperatures (5f) during the Christmas holiday, the new regulator isn't regulating well.  I'll be pulling it and at least try new o-rings on it.  Fortunately, the FX is VERY easy to work on  :-)

That's all for now!

I have a D48/T-01 .22 that I love!  Shoots a very consistent 20fpe, fun to shoot.....

but the trigger is way to heavy!!!  I've read posts about replacing the first screw, but my attempts didn't yield the intended results. Sooner or later I'm going to have to send it to someone who knows what their doing.

Typically if there is a loose nut at the trigger of an airgun.... it's me....   :P

Here's the deal. The end of the contest is a few weeks away. So, you have time to catch up! Once you hit that 25 mark, post a guess.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

Thanks Alan, I guess I didn't see the deadline for entry.

I never shot a T-01 before...  But it's great to hear of older Diana's shooting as strongly as yours does still.  BTW, these are the chrony results after putting in the new piston (piston had a new seal and I also put in a new breech seal):

High = 816
Low = 800
Average = 810
ES = 16
SD = 3
FPE = 21.4

This was from a 56 shot string of Crosman HPs.
