Badmoets calling in from Fryslân
« on: November 15, 2016, 03:16:51 PM »
Goodevening everybody,

my name is Badmoets (Roel) and i am from Fryslân (in The Netherlands), i`m 53 years of age and i`m shooting airguns since i`ve been a brat. I got some airguns that i`m gonna show you in this topic. Some people might recognize `m because i`ve shown `m at other fora too.

I`m one of the admins on the Dutch airgunboard Luchtbuks.net. http://www.luchtbuks.net/index.php? Feel free to drop by. Think it`s kinda hard to follow the language maybe.... I got a site too. Fokke Mol Airguns, it`s in English. http://fokkemol.weebly.com/ lots of airguns are shown there and every now and than there are new ones written about.

I`m gonna post some pics very soon.

Best regards.

Badmoets

Welcome Roel,

Well its about time you showed up ! :)

Folk's, don't let him fool youi. He is one awesome shooter and has some awesome guns. He, and his overseas friends, have been shooting 100 meter competitions long before it became popular over here. Some of the groups these guys shoot are amazing.

Look forward to catching up with you soon my friend.

Hi,

it`s great to be welcome! I`m seeing people i met at GTA and i wanna give a special Hello to Grumpy Dave. When i was even younger and i started shooting the airguncommunity was small, some friends and an occasional neighbour who were shooting but since the internet the world has gotten smaller but the airgun community grew larger. And i`m happy and proud of that.

The Dutch airgunscene is compact but great. Lots of people know each other because they1`re seeing each other on a regular base at the 100 meter matches, (H)FT matches and funshoots. I`d like to introduce myself through the guns i have at this moment.

I like Korean airguns, hard hitting and noisy.
Here`s my 201. I sold it once because this kinda gun seemed to get an illegal status. Being in possesion of an illegal airgun in the work i was doing at that time made me sell it. The gun didn`t get illegal and after a year i managed to get it back. This airgun is going nowhere, it`s mine. No matter what.

Here`s my Career III 300 in .22. I had one of these guns and i traded it for an Air Arms S400SL. Within a week i bought a second Career III 300. It`s a great gun.

Here`s another one. The Infinity in .22. This one`s never been on the Dutch market. The Infinity that was on the Dutch market was the one with the shrouded barrel. Some guys from the Dutch forum went to pay Vincent (from Airgun Exporter) a visit and one of `m took this gun home. I traded it for a BSA Lonestar.

The last Shinsung i have is the LBC Infinity .356. It`s an odd gun but i like it. This one is doing some 200 FPE with Lee SW 105 gn.

To be continued.....

...........

The UZGOOB .308 is a weird piece o`work. It contains parts of Daystate -airtube and trigger-, Sinner -.308 barrel-, Beaumont - breach- . The valve is custom -made by me- and the stock is from CS. It`s a one off airgun.

The 'Koejak' is a BAM wich was given to me by a friend from Belgium. It didn`t shoot no more, if i wanted to have the gun for spare parts. Sure! I had a Hatsan .25 barrel somewhere and i decided to put Hatsan and BAM together. I did some work on the valve and much to my surprise this gun shoots like a dream. The groups at 100 meter are great. it`s a 110 dollar  airgun but it shoots like a 1000 dollar airgun. I decided to leave it as ugly as it arrived. It`s my ratgun.
"Koejak" is the pronunciation of "Klootzak" from a 3 year old. The kid of my daughter sat in his seat in the back of the Audi calling everybody a "Klootzak" together with his mom. I decided that was the name of the next airgun i`d build.

Here`s my BSA Techstra. I made a sidelever for it, the MMC cocking system didn`t work once the Falcon stock was fitted. This is my second PCP, it`s in my collection since 2007. I sold it once but regreted it so much i bought it back in a week. Later i gave it to a friend as a reward for heling me. He bought a 201 and gave the Techstra back to me.

This is one of my favorite airguns. It`s an icon. Logun S16s in .22. I`ve got the original gunbag too. I love this one. The manometre was removed and a QF is installed.

And here`s another icon. The BSA Superten. BSA`s first PCP, BSA never made a better PCP than this one. This is a MK1 with a Dr. Bob QF.

Here`s the Cometa Lynx. The Spanish PCP, it`s in .22. It`s a very silent airgun. Accurate!

Air Arms TX200HC.
Once i had a BMK40, sold it and bought the real McCoy. This one is .177 and 12 fpe. Great gun. Superb.

Without the Weihrauch HW97K there would never have been a TX200. The 97K is a simple but accurate airgun. This is a .177 12 fpe gun too.

A few months ago i came across this one. A HW35E. Technically this was a wreck but i managed to get it going again. New spring, a decent spring guide made from Delrin, a spring sleeve and it shoots like a dream. This .22 does some 12 fpe too. You aim and you`ll it.

This HW90 rammer was given to me by my son in law. It was a .177 but i put a .22 barrel in it. Decent airgun. Love it.

And here`s another great springer. BSA Airsporter MK1 in .22. Some 65 years old. I don`t use this one regularly but i wouldn`t ever wanna miss it.

Almost forgot this weirdo. The Gamo MC Super. I used this SSP at the 10 meter track for some ten years. It`s worn out but it still works.

I`m closing this post with a picture of me shooting a Fire 201S....

In my next posts i`ll try to tell something about our 100 meter (kinda) indoor shooting range.

Best regards.

Roel  :)

Hi,

since some eight years or so there`s an official 100 metre discipline in the Netherlands. A group of guys called the 100 meter Crew organises the Open Dutch Championships for every calibre, seven different shooting ranges facilitate the Crew and the matches.
http://www.100metercrew.nl/100metercrew.nl/

Since 2016 there is the GKG 100 metre discipline. GKG stand for the bigger calibres, everything larger than .257. In the GKG the more experimental Big Bores are seen. Every great Dutch-made airgun is seen here. The Sinners, the Beaumonts, The Giants and ofcourse the Greate Pier*. All Dutch airguns of fame. The GKG does a match at my home range SV Noarderloft.

SV Noarderloft is a huge wooden barn -some 134 metres- wich we`re renting. It`s got the appearance of a .....eeehhhrrr ..... cave....a wooden cave. It`s cold and dirty and wet and it`s leaking. But it`s our cave-like shooting range. I like to state that SV Noarderloft is the only indoor airgun only 100 metre range in the world. Dunno if it`s true but it sounds good, doncha agree?

At SV Noarderloft we started with 100 metre matches for springers. Great to see some people shoot smaller groups with a springer than lotsa people with a PCP.

Here are some pics .
Here`s a group of my UZGOOB at 100 meters.

The prices for a 100 metre GKG Match are wonderfull pieces of lathe art. Next year there will be no more of these available. I am one of the lucky few that have obtained one of these.

Here i am doing a 100 meter match for springers. Never got any decent result.....

Here`s the Greate Pier!

Some detail of this big airgun. It`s doin some 1000 fpe. Prices are around some $5000.

* Greate Pier (Pier Gerlofs Donia) born in 1480 was a Frysian Freedom Fighter, a rebal and a pirate. Pier measured 7FT 2".  His sword measured 7FT 1" and weighed 11 lbs.

Best regards.
