Cool video, but we have no idea of the pressure they used, so it means very little.... It would have been interesting to see a piece of aluminum tubing of the same diameter and wall thickness compared to the CF tube, particularly on the end load....

I thought the same thing Bob. Sorta figured the first "test" results. The others were not so much.

I worked with CF for over 30 years before retiring and the way they are testing it has nothing to do with the strength of CF only the strength of the resin system stiffening the fiber. CF is very strong but only in tension. He was also testing some very thin pieces which if made out of steel in the same thickness would do something similar. I have a chunk of a CF wing panel I worked on at Boeing for Nasa and I doubt his press could do anything to it.
