Stands to reason. Most of mine takes are on power wires, three limbs, etc. to white just doesn't work obviously. Maybe I should work in a tracer pellet—do you suppose?

I remember you talking sometime back about coloring the pellet's rear cavity with white paint. I can't tell if that is the case here. With that in mind...

I've painted them white, rally red, and even florescent orange and green. For me, florescent green worked best against the color of the sky (most of my kills are birds), but at this juncture, I no longer record my hits via scope cam. The question remains, what other colors have you tried?
I have tried the following and they are listed by order of most successful in most scenarios with varying light exposure

  • White
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green

The order is obviously in parallel with the fact that I mainly shoot at the ground so the larger the color gap away from green, the better.

Nice write (video) up.

Personally, I have never gotten used to bullpups, but lots of folks like them. Part of it is the fact I grew up on firearms, and having a high pressure explosion right next to my ear, was a thought I couldn't get out of my mind.

I agree with you. I have come to love the Bullpup once I had close quarter scenarios with one, I fell in love!

As noted above, the close date was to be the 25th of this month (August), but due to the lack of interest, I'm going to keep the guessing open until at least 10 people enter a guess. And I'll go one better for non-guild members!

If you are a member of https://airgunflix.com, and sign on here using the same (verifiable) screen name, the requirement to have 25 viable posts here on the Guild, will be waved!

Good luck to all.

This is my full review of the Kral Puncher Breaker in .22 Caliber.  The rifle was tuned by Troy Hammer of Annihilator Airguns and Tuning and is producing over 32 FPE. I show you how it shoots at 40/50 and 70 yards using JSB 15.89gr and JSB 18.13gr Pellets. I also share the pros and cons of the performance of the rifle as I see them.

Airgun Ammo / Re: Shorter .30 cal NOE Pellet - Mag. Length?
« Last post by rsterne on August 11, 2018, 10:57:09 AM »
OK, change of plans here.... I talked to Al this morning, and he would prefer to make a second .30 cal mould with more difference in weight from the existing moulds, with no overlap in the weights between the designs, so I have done another drawing of the new shorter version....

When I was talking to Al I mentioned the FX magazines being too short for even this design, and he said he spent a couple of days talking to Frederik of FX and apparently they designed the FX guns around the JSB pellets, and since he doesn't want to go "head-to-head" with JSB he suggested that we go this route, even though they won't fit the FX without using a single shot tray.... I am pretty sure that this pellet will fit any PCPs other than the FX, so this is likely what we will proceed with.... However, we would still like your input, so please share your opinions....  The current .30 cal pellet, which is 1.5 calibers long and weighs 59-66 gr. would still be produced.... so there would be two .30 cal moulds available from NOE....

Airgun Ammo / .22 cal NOE Pellet - Mag. Length?
« Last post by rsterne on August 11, 2018, 10:51:22 AM »
Al Nelson at NOE is getting ready to make the tooling for a .22 cal pellet mould to the following dimensions.... This pellet is the same LOA as the Redesigned JSB 25.4 gr. Monsters, so other than the Meplat (different nose shape) they should fit anything those pellets fit.... They will fit the 10 shot .22 cal. mag for the MRods with no issue, I already checked that, and Hatsan mags are even longer....

Please check your magazines to make sure this will fit your gun and post in this thread ASAP if there is a problem....

I run a boat building forum that’s been around in multiple forms since 2000.  It has always been the same. You have a core group of contributors who are always open, friendly, highly experienced and often educated, who seem to be excited about passing on their enthusiasm. They are amazing teachers and it’s been an enormous pleasure to be associated with them. And, yep they have patiently answered the same questions countless times. I bow to these these amazing people.

Lurkers have the highest numbers. They have varying reasons for not speaking up or contributing. But it’s funny, almost every launch of my home built boat will entice folks to walk over to the ramp, introduce themselves as someone who read my boat journal and maybe belonged to my forum, but who was silent. I find it interesting and am heartened to find this is a small world.

I truly love the folks who start as lurkers, then become the person with a gazillion questions, gains experience and then graduates to become a core member of the group who is now educator.

This is the very best of the Internet, and why I keep at it.

Thank you all! You are all awesome in your individual ways.
