Alan is a good man. I appreciate you my friend.

2
Tuned at 250ish fpe range for 4-5 shots would be ideal for a coyote gun. Would really like to have a slayer but this would be more in my price range.

Chris
It will never be a Slayer but we can approach Slayer arena Power.

Just wanting everyone to know as of Jan 1st ALAN is now the official owner of the AGG. I will be posting as usual with updates of products from JSA but all things related to day to day business can be brought to Alans attention. Sorry for the site being down while we changed ownership. Alan has pretty much Ran this site and financed it for sometime but we made it official, Congratz Alan you inherited a great bunch of guys. Travis

Some numbers to chew on for now
 stock gun 160-170 FPE
modded with .305 TP 200-220 FPE
modded with SS Valve 302 FPE
These numbers are as tested here at the shop 4k feet elevation 38 degrees 100% humidity
The above testing was done with Nozzlers 145 grain slugs. The stock and modded gun made top power at 2500-2600 PSI before valve lock took over and the SS valve made Top power at 3100 PSI.

5
Finally got the Bulldog SS valve rocking and even had a little chronograph time today so Things are finally moving ahead. The first one didnt last long but the second prototype is hanging in there well.

I just ordered the Edgun EDMU gauge here https://www.edgunwest.com/store/p89/EDgun__EDMU_%28Electronic_gauge%29.html I will be doing a review of this (hopefully) Amazing piece of tuning equipment

Very nice string.  Nicely done Travis.

Joe
Thanks Joe

Well done, Travis.... Hard to believe the strides in efficiency that have been made in the last couple of years.... Seems to me we are typically getting about 1/3 more shots per fill than what we figured was "normal" then....

Bob
You sure are right. Things sure have changed by leaps and bounds the last few years.

10
If my math is right that's an efficiency of 1.49 fpe/ci. Thanks awesome Travis. This kit that you put together, are you going to be offering them for sale?

Thanks,
Chris
Yes threw JSA

PCP, C02, and Helium Powered Airguns / 105 shot Gauntlet string in .22
« on: January 04, 2018, 02:16:43 PM »
I put together a kit for the Gauntlet it includes a new poppet, hammer spring, spacer and RVA this will reduce cocking effort substantially!!! And increase shotcount substantially also. The below string was done with stock gun except fore mentioned parts. Stock 13ci tank and regulator raised to 1300 psi or 50psi from stock as tested by myself.

Assembled the .257 (unregulated) tube and at 4200 psi blew the poppet apart.... the large O-ring broke off the side of the gland.... I have to redesign the poppet and make a new, stronger one.... The good news is that it would open with dropping a 60 gram hammer down the tube 10" (no spring)....

Bob
Good news to people who understand the clamping force on a poppet at those pressures. What’s your thoughts on making it hold up? Steel piston with peek insert for piston face maybe?

Dont make me drive up there and finish this thing for you!!!
