Good to know. I know the forum will be in good hands.
And Travis will have more time to tinker.

Classifieds are down to one page. Get to filling 'em back up.

Home with the wife and daughter. I won't make it much past 9 or 10.
Used to fire the shotgun for effect at midnite, but like I said, I'll probably be in bed. Old age I guess :D
Have a happy one everyone! ;)

Joe, from my own experience with pics, since Photobucket went greedy, I myself don't know how to post pics. Though I haven't pursued a new pic venue. ::) Anywho pics arent really necessary sometimes. And if really necessary I just ask for a PM to text or email pic to the interested party.

I posted some "rules" stickied up top. Any suggestions fellow members?

Airgun Classifieds / Classified Rules...Sortof
« on: December 29, 2017, 07:59:22 PM »
So The Guild doesn't have many rules but the Classifieds need a couple boundaries per a couple of our esteemed Members.
1. You must have a minimum of 10 posts. This prevents those that only want to post a classified and have no intention of contributing to/benefitting from the knowledge and information of The Guild.
2. And..You must be a member of the Guild for a minimum of 2 weeks. See reason above.
3. Post price of item or items. Makes it easier for those that may be interested.
4. A little additional info:
If your item hasn't sold in ~6 months, it will be deleted.. probably. You are more than welcome to relist.
Commercial classifieds- please contact an Admin for assistance.
And as always, mark your item SOLD on the subject line when the deal is done so we can move it to the Sold Items category....
Thank you, That helps keep the Classifieds clean.
These rules are subject to change so check them every so often.

I was thinking of a ~ 6 month limit, then I'll just delete those posts that aren't marked sold. Unless Steve has a better idea.

Big Bore Airguns / Re: chrony numbers for .308 Texan

Texan valve lock strikes again. Upgrade your spring and you should be over 1000fps with that weight at 3k fill. Or at least close to it.
Got any numbers on the spring that is needed, L x O.D. x Dia.?

Break Barrel, Pumper and Springer Airguns / Re: Break Barrel

1894 Daisy was my first too. Fun, easy to cock, stock fits a kid, I must have killed a million birds in the prune orchard with it.
BB's are cheap and trigger time helps shooting skills. Also, a single shot at that age is kinda boring if you can't keep him occupied shooting. Think attention span. Way more fun to shoot a tin can 10 times by just cocking and shooting vs. loading a pellet at a time.
Don't know what is comparable to the Daisy nowadays.
I got my daughter a 105 Daisy when she was 6 or 7, she's a fine shot with a rife and a pistol at the ripe old age of 27..maybe outshoot me, maybe. ::)
