General Airgun Forum Discussion / Texans, the state, not the gun
« on: September 11, 2017, 07:07:55 PM »
Finally moved to south Texas. Anyone around want to get together and shoot. Thanks

Have the following for sale. These are sold in lots. Will not break them up. Thanks

Hunter Supply airgun lot. Boxes are crappy so i'll bag each box seperately and mark what they are.

.308 cal 44gr round ball 100+ qty
.308 cal 118gr RN 400+ qty
.308 cal 115gr RN 200+ qty
.308 cal 132gr SP 165+ qty
120 shipped for all Paypal gift. Insurance extra

Large lot of Mr. Hollowpoint .308 bullets. These are varying weights from 65gr up to 120 gr All the boxes are not full. Will bag each weight bullet if the case they are all in does not fit in to a small Priority box.

The last picture shows some .303 ammo he made for my wolverine. They wouldn't even chamber but worked ok in my .308. As you all know Mr. HP is not cheap at all! I paid a ton of cash for this stuff. Not going to count them all but I know theres more than 200 in this case, probably a fair bit more as im estimating on the very low side. Price is 75.00 shipped paypal gift. Insurance extra.

This lot was cast by a good friend of mine. We both had .308 extreme big bores. These two weights of bullets shot sub MOA groups at 100 yards if you did your part. There is over 200 of the 150gr, and 100 of the 115gr.

Pretty sure both moulds were Lee. Price is 65.00 shipped paypal gifted. Insurance is extra.

Have more bullets im digging out of my stash. Reason for sale is I no longer have any .308 if you were wondering. Thanks

So I have a few knives laying around and my weak hands do not allow me to sharpen them very good. Enter Josh

I sent several different blades off to him and every single one came back being able to shave with. The best part is his most reasonable rates and super fast turn around time. If anyone's thinking about having a knife, or 10 sharpened, drop Josh a line. He will hook you up. Thanks again !

Know the green mountain barrels have the wrong twist rate but curious of results if anyone's tried cast bullets. Thanks

OFF TOPIC / New rule by ATF
« on: August 31, 2016, 07:23:43 PM »
Not good news for reloaders..

(Note: We don’t normally jump on the latest gun-panic bandwagon around here, but this rule change is the Real Deal. If it stands, it will be devastating for hunting and the shooting sports.)

As reported on Ammoland, a sudden ATF rule change promulgated entirely without warning in a newsletter has reclassified a critical component of smokeless powder as a “high explosive.”

The problem is that there are very strict rules governing the storage and transport of high explosives, and the ammunition supply chain is totally unprepared to suddenly comply with those rules.

Overhauling the ammunition supply chain to accommodate those rules will be a long and expensive process, which would be bad enough news for ammo prices. But the knockout blow is the fact that the industry was given no warning and zero grace period, so they’re just screwed, because as of yesterday they’re now in sudden violation of federal law.

General Airgun Forum Discussion / Kind of neat

Normally don't do these sort of test things but I liked the gun topic. Ashamed to say I only scored a 26/30. Two of them I should not have missed !

Sold Items / For Sale: .25 Caliber Daystate Huntsman Sold
« on: July 10, 2016, 02:05:13 PM »
Up for sale is a nice 25 cal Daystate Huntsman XL she been a closet Queen all her life only being shot for target. She has only a few light handling marks on the stock. She shoots 15 shots from 824-860-828 or 10 shots from 840-860- 840 with the 25.4gr JSBs You can get her up to the 900+ range if you want with a hammer throw adjustment or down if you like more shots. Gun shoots spot on 1/2 groups or less. Comes with 1 magazine and 1 single shot tray. The pics do not do the stock justice ! She wears a Hugget Shroud so she is nice and quite. Price is $950 shipped and insured USA.

Thanks for looking

This started life out as a plain Discovery and been modified to a sweet shooter. The Breech is a left hand bolt and take marauder mags. It has the JDS airman kit with the bottle and reg. It has a power adjuster, Boyds thumbhole stock, and a near impossible to get BSA barrel from the UK. A marauder trigger group that is set at a sweet 7.5 oz. There is a adapter 1/2 inch on the end if one chooses to add a LDC. Gun is more than capable of dime size groups if you do your part thanks to the BSA barrel. It's getting 23-25 fpe at it's current setting, but can turn up power if needed. I ran a shot string for this gun and was blown away at what I got. I posted a pic of the sheet as it's too much to type from 18gr jsb 2900 to 900 psi.

Even if you "Short fill"  this gun to 1600 PSI it still gets a 8 mags ( 80+ Shots ) or more ! Give it a full fill to 2900 PSI and it gets almost 170 shots per fill. To be honest, I think it would get even more but I got bored 169 shots in to the string and stopped  ;)

With a little bit of tuning, such as a very easy to replace hammer spring, or a bit of tinkering with the installed power adjuster, you could get even more shots. Want more power ? Again super easy to adjust. At one point this gun was set up to shoot 30 fpe and it got WAY over 100 shots per fill !!

I have well over 900.00 in parts alone in this gun, thats without the machine work costs. Gun comes with one mag.
Price is $625+shipping.

Ask Bob / Bob, Another one for ya about Korean barrel twist
« on: July 01, 2016, 11:56:53 PM »
Any idea of the barrel twist the Korean guns use ? I have this one. I got this one second hand so I don't know much about it other then its an old Duk Il Hunting master. Yes, its a sidelever. Both the Sidelever and trigger are butter smooth. Normally NOT a Korean gun fan but I do believe this one has some decent long range potential.

This thing is a monster. It will blast the 18 gr at over 1200 fps   :o

On a lark I tried some 30 gr swagged slugs Doug had laying around. The dam thing shot almost 1 shot groups at 50 ish yards. Sorry I cannot remember at what velocity. Anyways I was considering getting a mould or two to try in it, but without knowing the twist id rather not throw cash away.

General Airgun Forum Discussion / Which gun do you regret selling
« on: June 02, 2016, 11:15:42 PM »
Have had many guns. Some I regret selling more than others. The one I wished never slipped through my hands is this .25 Air Ranger

One of the most accurate, hard hitting, superb .25 I’ve ever had..  :'(

So which one do you regret letting go of ?

Sold Items / For Sale: Crosman 2260 HiPac plus extension SOLD !
« on: May 30, 2016, 04:45:09 PM »
Convert your 2260 to HPA by simply screwing this in. I ran mine at about 1600 PSI. Can't remember the exact numbers but think I got about 10-12 high power shots ( 26 fpe ). Anchor your valve and you can run these at much higher pressure and get really big power. Can get more shots if you are not looking for big power. Works perfectly but has some small marks on the tube, its the nature of using these. These are about $122.50 shipped. Buy mine for 85.00 shipped anywhere in the states.
