Hey Hey Hey Shooter guys and gals!

I have yet another video in my Gauntlet series for ya'll to check out. This time we talk about quieting down the bark of the Gauntlet. I share with you the concept of the cone-stack baffle suppressor and I demonstrate my 5 piece cone stack and how much more efficient it is at reducing sound and pressure.

The five (5) piece stackable baffle set is designed as a direct replacement to the Gauntlets one piece torpedo design. The multi-stack interlocking cones create chambers that disrupt and slow the air, stripping it away from the projectile path and forced to buffet through a series of pathways.

The air is forced to go through this process five times. The sole object is to pull the kinetic energy out of the air so that by the time it reaches the end of the shroud, it's atmospheric disturbance is far less, thus reducing the amount of noise and turbulence of the air that exits the shroud.

If you're interested in a set, all the purchase info is in the YouTube description or hit me up with a PM.

Thanks for your time!

Hajimoto's Airgun Annex / Umarex Gauntlet: Trigger Two Stage(ish) Mod
« on: January 02, 2018, 06:59:23 PM »
Howdy shooty shooters!  ;D

For all you QB78/79 heads, there will be nothing new here for ya but for the new to the game Gauntlet owners that have no clue what a QB78/79 is, this may have some value!

In this video, I show you how you can take a $3.79 spring plunger and make your trigger act more two stage(ish) than its current long gritty single stage trigger.

I will use a spring from an ink pen to give a soft first stage and the spring plunger will act as the second stage. I list all tools required for the mod in the video and in the YouTube description, I provide a direct link to the specialty items to make this mod doable.

Please let me know if you any questions.

Loved your stuff in 2017 and look forward to your stuff in 2018! The hunting on a budget series is going to be awesome to see because you will have a fair amount of great choices in the entry-level category today that were not there only 5 years ago.

Thanks for taking the time to share your adventures and Happy Holidays to you and your family Dana.

Hajimoto's Airgun Annex / Umarex Gauntlet: Bipod installation video
« on: December 22, 2017, 11:34:18 AM »
Hey guys!

Well here is another video in my Gauntlet series and this time I walk you through how to install a bipod on the Gauntlet in a functional location.
Please be sure to comment and share.

Thank you

Thank you for picking up on my Hajism  ;D

Let's take a look;
  • I took the regulator out and apart the first time to investigate and install the homemade aluminum foil shims, result from 1050 to 1200ish.
Regulator was removed and a 0.020 shim was installed result from 1200 to 1350ish.
  • Based on the results of 0.010 shim equated to +125 PSI I added another and ended up with somewhere around 1350ish.

Looks like I was lucky and only had two visits inside the reg.

Hey Guys & Gals!
Yet another addition to my Umarex Gauntlet series.  In my quest to get the Gauntlet to realize all of its potential, and after I tore the rifle completely apart and smoothed over some bumps in the road, my Gauntlet was still sleeping. I determined that I needed to tear into system #2 out of three and validate if the regulator was, in fact, doing what it was supposed to be doing.

Concerning the Gauntlet, there is a lot of mixed up information as to what the regulator pressure is supposed to be.  The tank says its 1250PSI printed Umarex press materials say 1150PSI and there was at least one other place that stated it was 1100PSI. I would assume that the regulators for the .177 would be different than the .22 but what I would not expect is the .22 to be lower than the writing on the regulator itself.

I invite you to join me on this journey as I take a ride through the Gauntlet Regulator maze and come out a winner.

Hajimoto's Airgun Annex / Umarex Gauntlet: Teardown and Tweak Video
« on: December 08, 2017, 03:11:56 PM »
Hello Airgunners!
Today I would like to offer you all a video I made that details the complete disassembly and reassembly of the new Umarex Gauntlet in .22 Caliber.
In this video, I point out areas that can be modified to improve the performance of the rifle as well as some areas that may need Umarex's attention.

I will field any questions that the video does not cover and can clarify anything that I may have said that was not clear. Please be sure to visit my Facebook page for more day to day updates on any projects I am currently working on at any given time.

Outstanding videos, Great shooting.   8)

If I can ask a question,
What is your camera/photo equipment used to show the details,
I love the pellets flight thru the camera etc.

I wish I had the grey's here, I have nothing but Cottontail rabbits.

Thank you for the words of support!  The camera configuration I use is the Hajimoto Scope Camera setup that I built. All the details are contained in my A Scopecam Quest" video on Youtube video of one year ago.  See below, let me know if you have any questions.

Nice video and thank you for sharing your experience with the Umarex Gauntlet. Below is my 20yard 20 shot card with shot analysis. I am pretty impressed with the little rifle. Its the little engine that could, LOL

Well you folks know what time it is again.... right?  BYUUUUUUP!!! It's gray squirrel season! Yeeeee Haaaaa! PEW! PEW!In this video I dispatch 16 or so over a period of a few days. All kills were made on my private property and all squirrels were cleaned, butchered and vacuum packed for winter consumption.

I have altered the video format a bit to allow more video action and less yappin.  Give me your thoughts on the changes. I will be trying to make 2 videos a month until hunting season ends so stick around and keep an eye out.

Always remember, I do not get paid to make these videos, your comments and feedback are my compensation, please be generous!

Hajimoto's Airgun Annex / Chipmunk Smackdown #7 (Video)
« on: October 15, 2017, 02:30:06 PM »
Ladies and gentlemen I give to you my seventh installment for 2017 featuring more chipmunk pesting here at camp Hajimoto.
I have over 50 kills and will be rolling out bite-sized videos rather than a 1-hour feature.
I packed the video full of Chipmunk smack downs, other than the chokes! LOL
