Wicked Air Rifles. WARP & Flex owners.
« on: January 03, 2019, 04:00:08 AM »
Hello.
I have couple of questions about WARP / Flex
- What is the length of the moderator and how much it extends?
- Can you shoot it with moderator fully in? or do you have to extend it all the way?

Thanks.

The unit itself is 6 inches long, but you can't collapse it that much, as there is a large barrel tensioning nut inside the housing.

To use the guns without suppressor, you remove the end cap, the three baffles, and slide the cover back over the barrel shroud. The design looks good on paper, but in the real world, it is hokey!

The newest design uses a separate suppressor with 1/2 inch by 20 threads, like everyone else does. The barrel tensioning nut is outside of the housing, making the overall without the suppressor in place, a bit longer. The new unit houses five baffles, of a different design. It is noticeably quieter, but I've never measured it. It sells for $150 complete, and is worth the monies. If you buy a new rifle, the new suppressor is what you will get.

Allright. Thank you very much Alan.
I'm buying a new WARP asap. I'm just waiting for Jim to contact me...  It is very difficult to get any proper information about these rifles. We dont have any of those here in Finland as far as i now. And sometimes i just don't understand everything what people write. My bad :)
So when i buy a new WARP, there is that new suppressor? Am i right? And it doesn't move back and forth?

Edit. Alan. I just found the topic you wrote. "Wicked Air Rifles' New Suppressor"
Now i understood.

Back when Travis was part of the WARP team, I tried to get him to add much more descriptive content to the website to help folks better understand the rifles, and help with search engine results. Sigh. Not much has changed.

Jim Gaska has a regular job, and does a lot of traveling. So don't feel like he's ignoring you. He will get back to you as soon as he can.

The model I have is a Cobra. Basically, it is the same airgun as the FLEX and WARP, but has a different valve. You can order what is essentially a Cobra, or just about any combination of regulated, or non regulated.

Other than the Timney trigger, the best then I can say about the rifle, is its accuracy. At the 100 yard indoor range, if I do my part, it will hold better than 3/4 inch groups. I've had a few you could cover with dime! I've shoot upwards of 15,000 rounds through the rifle, and have only cleaned it once! And I bang it around, almost every day out at the ranch. One can't ask for much more from an airgun!

No i dont feel that he is ignoring me. No way. I hope he answers me as soon as possible because i am so damn exited.
i'm about to order WARP Cobra edition and one extra magazine. Caliber would be .22
I was thinking about something between 14" - 16" barrel. I think i choose 14" barrel. I think that woukd be good. Just compact enough but not too short either.
I have looked at many times specs and everything. Sounds perfect.

As far as I know Jim is not making the Ldc collapsible any more.  It says that on the WAR site

Check this out. https://pe.usps.com/text/imm/fh_004.htm Unbelievable!!!!
How difficult this can be. Hopefully Jim can use another transport company than USPS to make sure i recieve the shipment. Fedex forexample. Just for sure.
They will deliver airguns unlike our local post.
And i talked with several people and they said this could happen. ->  If i order an air rifle from USA and they use USPS -> It will be returned by the US customs at the airport back to the seller and the mail will be refunded in full to the seller.

By the way I have had USPS damage TWO airguns (DAQS), and they will not stand behind their insurance. I ate the repairs for both. Both airguns were well packed, but the ham fisted ding bats at the USPS somehow like to drop boxes from significant heights, or just throw them here and there. GRRRRRRR.

I'm sure Jim knows how to ship to other countries.  He Won't let you down intentionally.

I looked at the UPS restrictions, and nothing is said about guns, airguns, firearms, etc. I suspect it could be send FedEx, but I didn't look there.

Yes. No doubt. I really trust him to get the job done 100% for sure.
i just sent him an email about using other companies just like Fedex. If USPS works that would be really nice, but i still have to prepare that it wont. But Jim will find out this for sure.
