Messing around with Marauder
« on: July 22, 2018, 08:53:01 AM »
I’ve been stupid busy with summer activities, chores, working on the trucks, and work. Have had no time for AirGuns. Yesterday I got a quiet few minutes and dashed in the shop to pull out the Squirrel Chair, I mean Born Wild Chair and the Marauder. Loaded up three mags, looked at the gauge and saw that it’s held pressure for weeks.

Pointed at the first rat feed station 25 yards away and emptied the three magazines. No muss, no fuss, and I had the BSA Scope set to 8x. I hardly tried for a good group.

24 JSBs (air-arms equivalent that is) into one ragged hole. No doubt that hole might have been half the size if I’d actually gave it my full attention. Awesome rifle.

I seriously have to get my Armada fixed. I'm jealous. You know the range I have set up at my house; it ain't being used right now. I haven't shot the Texan because a) I took the suppressor off to use the Witt's m.b. so it's booming at full throttle, and b) I want the deer to stay nice and calm until I can (hopefully) make a harvest. The .25 Armada is supposed to be filling that role. Granted I've been shooting the break barrel a little but it's not the same.

You're also making me rethink my plan for my next airgun. Nice shooting. Kind of nice and easy using a killer rest with no tables, folding chairs, bags, or sticks huh? ;)
