Disco help won't fill
« on: December 18, 2017, 02:11:59 PM »
My disco that has been great for a few years will not hold air all of a sudden.  Pulled it out of the case for some shooting this weekend and it had no air in it (always held air before) and got a little scared.  So I tried to fill it with my hand pump and when I had 2000 p.s.i. in the gun, I released the bleed on the pump and all of the air in the gun released as well.  Do you think I need to replace the foster fill nipple or is it something in the gun?

Sounds like a bad check valve. Both of my Benjamins are bottled, and I've never had one of the stock fill valves apart. So I'm no help there, but it should be difficult to figure out what the issue is, if you have a few simple hand tools.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

Try opening the bleed valve on the pump quickly.... Some check valve wont seat if you just crack the bleed valve and the air comes out too slowly....

Thanks for the input. I'll give that a try just seems wierd that the gun also lost all it's air while sitting for a few weeks when it usually doesn't.
