Title: Motorhead Air Rifle Tuning Services.
Post by: steveoh on January 13, 2016, 01:46:19 PM
In this case 25+ years as a commercial Small Engine Tech / Machinist my namesake stuck as I applied years of mechanical expertise to the field of Air Gun service & modifications.

Personally started shooting air guns competitively in @ 1980 and here 35+ years later still do ;D

My shop is run from home as a side business, so no brick & mortar store front.

Services are primarily LABOR with some specialized parts manufactured in house for guns being worked with. I am a dealer for the Dutch HuMa PCP regulators & can provide these for PCP guns sent in for conversion / tuning work. Also manufacture Custom Light weight hammers for regulated Marauders.

Services offered on PCP rifles are pretty much these brands ...
Air Arms / Benjamin M-rods & P-rods / BSA / Brocock / FX / HW / Logun / RAW / Theoben & a few others. ( Inquire if not listed ;) )

Services offered on Spring / Gas ram rifles ...
Air Arms / HW / Theoben and few others ( Inquire if not listed ;) )

Motorheads AG can provide Maccarri ( ARH ) springs & seals along with Vortek PG-2 kits on in house service jobs.
* Custom fitted spring guides & top hats also manufactured as an alternative to above kits.
** Custom work offered on a case by case basis ... ( Inquire to nature of work needed / wanted )

Hi scott.  I was wondering if you would be willing to part with a Huma regulator for my AA S500 extra fac.  They seem to be out stock at air superiority with no known time of being back in stock.  If not no big deal. Thanks.  John

John,
In the applications where the conventional "UNIVERSAL" type regulators are required, I buy BLANK bodies that come in an oversize NON machined O.D.
Then machine the diameter & o-ring grooves to fit tube size required.
Also making the plenum tube at required CC volume.

But as stated .... ONLY provide regulators for IN HOUSE tuned air guns.

Sorry,
Scott

Hi Scott,

This week I picked up an FX400 FT off the yellow classifieds. The seller says you tuned it. I spent some time shooting it today and I must say it does shoot well. I'm going to EFTCC FT event tomorrow with it now that I have it scoped and dialed in.

Have you ever made a regulator for a 500cc Sumatra?

Honestly no, being there predominately HUNTING guns with those shooting them requiring HIGH POWER, having a regulated one is counter productive being it simply would not likely be able to make the high power required and give many shots either.
It would use up a LOT of air tube volume for a sufficient plenum.

It could be done & likely successfully, but once done along with required valve mods to get the most out of operating at the lower pressure there is no going back  :P

Hi Scott,
I need a band-aid for my Synthetic Marauder.  Do you have any barrel bands that will improve POI shift.  I don't feel like bedding it right now.

Thanks,
Dave
