They shoot OK on a tether terrible on the bottle. I have friend with one. I own both a 45 and 357 Texan. The 45 is the most accurate followed by 357.
Gun has major harmonic issues. David, who I would be very skeptical of, has a sorta fix using two limb savers to combat the harmonic problem. Typically you need to shoot the same bullet once you get those figured out because the harmonic changes with different weights so they need to be adjusted.
If you plan to shoot on a bench, tethered and shoot one bullet then this limb saver trick may work out. If you plan to shoot different bullets or off the bottle I would look at something else.
You would be much better off buying a Slayer .308 which shoots good out the box, no harmonic issue and no fiddling to get it to work. Or if you really want a Texan, then go to the 45 cal which is a much better shooter than the .308 Texan but still does not hold a candle to a Slayer.
