QB79 leaking
« on: July 31, 2017, 10:09:25 AM »
I have a .177 QB79 that is leaking. I believe it's leaking from the valve since I hear the leak through the barrel. Took it apart a few weeks back and resealed, and it still leaked.

Yesterday I pulled the valve and I see the valve stem seat has a rough area that I suppose could be the source of my leak.

Is this seal replaceable? Or do I need a new valve stem? Does this look like a modified valve stem? This QB79 originally came from Mike Mellick and I believe had a tune.

Trying to find a source for valve stems and valves that is not Archer.

Hmmm the image makes it look like that rough spot is glue.

Mike Mellick has stock valves on sale for $15, and hopped up for $35. :)
