Need help with fixing a leak on my .25 Armada
« on: August 31, 2018, 01:15:47 PM »
My Armada has been MIA for months due to a leak. I bought the O ring kit from Amazon but I'm totally intimidated by the disassembly. I've tried videos but I just can't find one that applies to my gun. I don't want to over-dissemble nor do I want to do it a bunch of times and either a) not fix the problem, b) totally screw up the tune, or c) do something wrong and either damage my gun or myself.

Is there a Guild member here local that would be willing to give me hand? I'd be happy to throw some bones your way for the time and trouble. There's just too much $'s, time. and safety to go blindly poking around on this thing.

Thanks in advance.

The Armada is no big deal to work on. The question is, do you have an idea where it is leaking?

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

I haven't had my Marauder apart, so no idea how easy or hard it might be.  The Sumatra was apart and I found that pretty easy.  I have a QB79 I've had apart 3-4 times and the thing still doesn't hold air. Need to fix that since it's a perfect backyard gun when it isn't leaking. Fits Henry well also.

Alan, basically the air is just pouring out of the barrel when I fill the reservoir.

Alan, basically the air is just pouring out of the barrel when I fill the reservoir.

1. try cocking the gun, then fill.

2. Point barrel down, plugin fill hose, take a rubber hammer smack the area that the fill valve / nipple is, open valve on air tank. (this worked on my Sumatra after re-oringing it.)

Valve stem, they get brittle and fall apart, I should have a spare in my bag of parts. I'll let you figure a time I can come by and show you how to take it apart.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like. Building duck boats now that I'm "retired".

That would be awesome! Sorry for the slow response; took a trip down the coast yesterday. No rush. We'll figure something out time/place wise and make it happen. Thanks!!!

I have goodies if you want some too. Venison sausage, halibut, salmon, rockcod.
