2018 Fall Fun Shoot
« on: July 23, 2018, 05:48:33 PM »
I'm going to put together a Guild Fall Fun Shoot for sometime between the end of October and beginning of November. It would be similar to the Spring Shoot that we did here at my house. Just a fun get together to check out everybody's babies and have a good time shooting some paper and steel.

We will change the location however this time to a more open property close by here in Petaluma. That way we have more room to make more noise and accommodate more people if need be. For those of you here last time I will have all of the steel targets (spinners, plates, etc.) plus some.

If interested let me know and we can work on the particulars.

I'd say bring it all. We'll do it at the 'Lynch Ranch' where we shot a few weeks ago. That way there's no issues with how many folks want to be there, no limits on noise, and no limit on range either (300+ yards)  I will check with my brother and see when the projected time is for the annual manure spreading in fields for obvious reasons. I have enough options for locations as you know so that there's no need to suffer.

I'm going to start a running list of those who want to attend so I can wrap my head around the logistics. So far we are looking at:

Steelhead (Kevin)
Steveoh (Steve)
Skohl
Frank in Fairfield
Caniborrowsomeammo & Oprah

Is I and Oprah still good for an invite? :o
Probably make it unless the geese are hot and heavy with bad weather.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like. Building duck boats now that I'm "retired".

The Fall Fun Shoot will be Saturday, November 10th at 9:00am. Weather permitting of course. I will have the BBQ going, targets set up from 25 yards to 200 yards with steel, spinners, gongs, etc.  Please bring any special paper targets, chronographs, folding tables, air, etc. that you wish to use. I will have a couple of Born Wild Shooting Chairs available for use as well.

Let me know if you're going to attend so I know how many will be here. All airguns are welcome, although we may keep the big bore boomers relegated to a 'time slot'. I want to be respectful of my neighbors.

[/b]Looking forward to seeing you.[/b]

Perhaps I could start a 'fundme' campaign for you Steveoh, so that you could but a .25 caliber WAR of some description.

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

That would be awesome.  ;D Have dropped a ton of bucks on other essentials this past two months, so no new airguns for a while. Sigh.

Steelhead has a brand spanking new FX Streamline that he has raved about. So many airguns to choose from!

No, we didn't do it. To be honest there wasn't a ton of interest and things also got busy for me. If guys were all geeked up for a get together I would have done it, but that wasn't the case.

That being said, I can pretty much shoot whenever so if you feel like coming over to the range sometime just give me a jingle.

Thanks for being so generous with your range there Kevin.  Unfortunately, both my guns need a reseal and I tried with the disco but kept ruining the new orings when putting it back together.  Just gotta find someone to send them to for resealing and I'll be back in business.  Of course I've had my eye on a new gun but need to fix the other 2 and maybe sell them.
