I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.

Shawn, I'm sure you have received an email from FedEx by now. I shipped it two day, as I couldn't get it out ground on a Saturday. So about Wednesday, the "stuff" will be in your hands.

Out second place winner, none other than our illustrious Steelhead, hasn't given me a shipping address yet. Oh well, the second place prize won't land at my door until Tuesday. One to him, and one to out Webmaster, Steve!

Ah shucks.... thank you Alan!

I received my package from Alan today. It included a heavy canvas backpack, AGG hat and tumbler, range finder, first aid kit, a nice pair of binoculars and nice little wind meter.Oh yeah, and bug spray! I will give a more in depth report after I have a chance to try everything out.
Thanks again Alan for another fun contest.

The correct word for it is anemometer. Using one around Southeastern New Mexico, is almost a necessity. While I'm fairly good at doping the wind, once the velocity gets above 8 mph or so and/or gets gusty, I call it a day. Every airgun hunter should have one with him/her.

What's interesting, this unit sells for under $20 on Amazon. They also sell several models which plug into a smart phone. The cheapest one of those I've seen, is well over $100! And they aren't any better either!

By coincidence, I was just looking at the Strelok Pro app for android.  There is a windmeter available that plugs into the headphone jack of your smartphone - if you are "so last year" and still have a phone with a headphone jack - and automatically calculate wind drift.  That windmeter, er, anemometer, is $40, plus the cost of the premium app.
