Extreme Big Bore LDC contest!
« on: July 31, 2016, 10:27:05 PM »
So Brent of Extreme has graciously offered a donation of an LDC for the members here.  So for the month of August, there will be a contest for a very lucky Guild member to win it.

Here is a description of the LDC from Brent:

I have been working on this LDC for a few weeks now and like what I have seen for a few reasons.
1) it is 8 inches long (so not bad to carry but still 8 inches long)
2) 1.5 outside diameter
3) It can be disassembled by unscrewing the end caps
4) Easily cleaned
5) Baffles can be moved around so the owner can tune the LDC (if they choose)
6) Weighs 9 ounces
7) My testing with the Extreme .457 84 to 90 disables (kind of weird different days had different readings)
Here is what I will do on my end. I will commit to a donating a LDC to the Guild once the winner of the LDC is awarded I will need to know what thread is on the winners barrel if the barrel is not threaded (no Problem) I build an adapter that goes over the last 1 inch of the barrel and is held on by sleeve retaining loctite. I will need to know the exact diameter of the barrel and the owned needs to scotch bright the last .875 to 1 inch of the barrel clean barrel and adapter with break clean very well apply Loctite to barrel and bore of the adapter slip on barrel flush to the end and simply let set for 24 hours clean excess Loctite put dielectric grease on the threads screw LDC on and you are ready to shoot (trust me it is not coming off with this Loctite). Will someone from the Guild post on how you want to raffle this LDC off or how ever you think would be the best way to award the winner and Extreme help support the Guild.

So now for the contest.  Quite easy to do.  It's a "how many jelly beans in the jar" contest.  But with a Guild twist.

I need someone to correctly guess the exact number of spent pellets in the jar!

The one who guesses correctly, or the closest without going over wins.  You members have till August 31, 2016.

Good Luck.

So says the Monkey!

Ok, so here are the guesses so far:

I have an Omega compressor. If you're a fellow Guild member, and you pass through Roswell, NM, I'll fill your portable tank as a courtesy.
