Clague Marauder Moderator
« on: June 06, 2018, 06:44:58 AM »
Alan just sent me his Clague Marauder Moderator. Installed it when I got home. Step one: slip over shroud, orientate set screw to an accessible spot, tighten, and go give it a go.

I love the fit and finish.

I love the way it looks on the Marauder.

I absolutely love how quiet it is. I hear a spring twang, and the pellet whacking the backstop.  This meets the requirements of a genuine mouse fart!

Oh, and get this... No Point of AIM change!

Thank you Alan! Thank you Neil!

I have one that came with a used Marauder I bought a few years ago, it actually screws onto the shroud's threads.   Not only is is quiet,it is also aesthetically the most pleasing of all the different devices I have seen personally.

I asked Neil about it, and he said the one had is several years old, and perhaps his first generation version. At any rate, this is silly quiet.

Looks like a reflex model, I've had mine for a couple years. Very nice, effective product!

I just go under the assumption that mine is a collector's item.   :D

That's pretty funny, a collectors item, lol   They are still available and I make more of these for Marauders than just about any other air gun. Don't ask me why because I find no need for one on my own marauder, I guess people just like extra quiet so they don't upset their neighbors. If anyone else wants a collectors item they can contact me, lmao, all the best, Neil.

Okay, I guess it just sounds nicer to refer to myself as "collector" over "airgun hoarder".  ;D ;D ;D

But if anyone wants to be a hoarder of Neil's fine products, I'll bet he can set you up!!   ;)
