Webly Hurricane Sights will not adjust low enough
« on: April 08, 2017, 07:45:57 PM »
Hi All,
Bought a Springer at the Pacific shot show.  .177 Webley hurricane to plink in the backyard.   Couldn't shoot it at the show.  So step up a target in the backyard.  15 / 20 foot and shooting 2 in high.  Elevation adjustment bottomed out.

Front blade is shrouded and appears untouched.  Red paint on front sight.    Looking at the parts manual is seems that one could remove the rear sight and grind the adjustment screw down a little.

Before I screw it up I thought that I would ask if anyone has experience or similar experience with this issue?

Thanks for any advise.
Double Thanks for helpful advise!!!

Pull the rear sight and install a dot sight. Hurricane should have a dovetail groove to mount sight.
Buncha BB guns that I don't get to shoot as much as I like.

I realize this is an old post but in case someone is interested I am replying.
You would require the adapter rail that is installed in place of the rear sight to install scope or optic. I shoot my Hurricane at 10 - 25 meters without issue. Possibly the barrel has been bent slightly upward?
