I have the same DAQ, but I've yet to chrony it.  I have one day under my belt at the range, and I'm going to say that it is a beast. Kicks like a mule, and roars. Sounds like a powder burner.  I shot it with my 909s and I know for sure the DAQ makes the 909s pale in power. When I get to shoot it again I'll chrony it and report back.

Oh, it sucks the air out of a big tank mighty fast.  2 shots, refill. Of course it really isn't broken in, so I suspect that after breaking in, you might be able to get three useable shots. Maybe. My first dozen or two shots I'd get two shots, and the DAQ was empty.  :o

Yep, dumps the reservoir on second shot. BOOOOOOOM!

Funny with my earmuffs on it still sounds like BOOOOOOOM!, but the 909s, and the DAQ .58 Pistol have a hollow whoop sound. Serious business this .58 Short Rifle is.

I cast a bunch of .575 round balls when I first got the rifle, and also have a .575 minie mold I need to try out. I just need to get away and go shoot the thing.

What psi are you filling to?  I fill my DAQ .457LA  to 3250psi.  Some fill to 3500 but I don't.

I believe I filled to 3k as specified by Dennis. The last time I was at the range, I ran out of air in the big tank and a smaller tank. So I was trying to conserve air. (if that's possible with a DAQ).

Yeah I understand saving air for a few more fills. Big bore airguns don't get a lot fuel mileage. I'm anticipating a 3250psi fill based on your comments. Hopefully that will give 2 shots without dumping before the fill .   Filling from empty takes more air than adding 250psi to the max fill.

I've since talked to Dennis, and he said to try filling to 3100 psi, and maybe 3200 psi if that doesn't make the rifle happy by not dumping all the air on the second shot. He said, my gauge is probably off a good 10%, which is why the rifle dumps.
